Ashes to Ashes Series 2

The retired coper from the future remined me of a older DC Chris Skelton.

Crikey I never thought that at the time, but now you mention it...

Good episode, although sometimes Alex is thick as two short planks, surely she should have had Shaz looking for a young copper called Martin Summers who was still with the force?

Some nice Ray stuff tonight, nice to see he and Alex bonding...sort of...:)

Ugh, part of me hopes that this isn't some great cop purgatory and that it's all still a made up fantasy of Alex's.
Although, I suppose having this strange operation rose thing hanging over her is interesting... although, I'm not sure how being corrupt helps her. Still, if the conflict is whether or not she should compromise herself in this "fake" reality in order to return to the present and be reunited with her daughter, at the very least it should make her choice either way that much more meaningful.

I thought Chris was going to do something stupid to get the money for the wedding.
Loved the bit in the junk yard.
But the bits with the real world kept getting on my nerves.

Thought this week's was quite good without being anything special. Guessing next week's is the last one though...

I think there are two more episodes, im not 100% sure however.

moving on, I think they are going OTT with the TV show refrences this series, none of them have proven as good as the Camberwick Green one, and ive never even heard of (what I think was) Angels.

I certainly see why people think that the older guy is Chris.

Nothing will ever outdo Camblewick Green! Morph was good though...

I feel old now as I remember Angels (Casualty waaaay before Casualty)

Morph was brilliant, ill give you that, the rest of them just seem a bit forced & expected now.

Casualty was only 86, only 4 years later than Ashes to Ashes is set, TBH im slightly disappointed we wont get to see Gene Hunts opinon on the first episode of the Bill (83 or 84)

Just watching the BBC version of vanity fair with Philip Glenister as the kind Captain Dobbin.
The charter is the total opposite of Hunt.

I'm catching up with series 2 now, up to episode 5. This season is much better than season 1 and I loved that. Got me a new avatar as well. ;)

The Neighbourhood Watch talk by Gene Hunt was classic. We were laughing all the way through. I love the way she just lets him get on with the strong arm stuff with a slightly pained expression. The scrap yard scene was brilliant.

Why would you do that?
Why wouldn't I? Beyond the fact I accidentally missed Ashes To Ashes.
for one its got Russel Brand in it, that alone was reason enough for me to skip it.

ok I know I cant tell you all what you can & cant watch, but well sometimes I want to.

*says he who watches Snog, Marry, Avoid*

It was fun, and that's all I ask of comedies. Plus it had Kristin Bell and Mila Kunis in it. Besides, I don't have a hate on for Russell Brand, I don't think he's great, but he can be funny on occasion.

Just about to put Ashes to Ashes on now.

People hate Russell Brand because he is pig ugly but still gets 10 times the amount of sex they do.

You mean it's not cos he got Manuel more work?

Decent episode. Loved Gene's Neighbourhood watch speech. It'll be interesting to see where they take the next 2 weeks if the rumours of a 3rd series are true though.
