Depends on how many are interested in other forums? Yet to see many outside of trek xi, as I prefer to talk about the movie in the admirals' lounge.

Oh yes, I can tell you'll fit in nicely from this single post alone.
You've got your awesome user name. You've got your avatar participating in the latest in-joke already, and you're already participating in Misc. This is the anatomy of a post from someone who is already well and thoroughly hooked. Trust me, I know.
Incidentally, I think we'll keep at least a 3rd of them. I came for the Cogley Ent review threads and was promptly hooked. Just about the time one thing wears out, another one pops up to re-ignite my interest. I do think we'll retain less due to it not being a series. Perhaps we can orchestrate a campaign to hook them. Like "Hey there newb... I noticed you posted 'xyz' You should come see the xyz thread in misc, gen TV, etc. Draw them out, and they will be ours. Then we will learn secrets about them, and blackmail them when they try to leave, just like Scientology!
I thought we were supposed to eat the n00bs.

Same here. I'm pretty sure Voyager was in Season 4 or 5 when I joined.
I started as an occasional lurker the last two seasons of Voyager and didn't join up until years later in 2004.

Well, whatever season it was. I don't remember.
I joined this board because of Enterprise. But I don't remember how many newbies there were back then or what the influx of newbies was for Nemesis.
The flood of new posters has been quite noticeable with this new movie, but the only ones I notice are the few haters who keep posting the same things over and over again. Maybe they're making up for the veteran haters who have been banned. Or maybe they are those vets under new names.
The bashers are probably more apt to stick around.
There's another board I won't post on where the newbies get ripped to shreds by the longtime posters and the mods look the other way. But if a mod gets a stick up his ass over something completely insignificant, you'll be banned without notice or explanation.

Me too! (Ironically, ENT is my least favorite series.
) I remember, though, that there seemed to be a lot of what I would now call n00bs... people asking questions that most of us have long-since asked.I've noticed that, too.
BTW, if I see "Khan" spelled "Kahn" one more time, I'm going to frak the whole board from orbit.
