What film WOULD you LOVE to see a remake/reboot of?

The Devil Rides Out.

A great old horror movie, let down by poor visual effects and one of the most unconvincing Satanic orgies ever filmed.

I remember catching that one when I was a kid, it had a giant spider and a windshield that suddenly turns white right?

I must have enjoyed it if I can remember details like that, I can't remember films I watched last week

I once started writing a spec script for that very thing - get rid of the giant spider, include the trip to Greece, etc.

Never finished it, though.

Off the top of my head I would say Daredevil. We really need to get a good movie with a better lead.

While I thought that the 2003 movie with Ben Affleck was excellent (a minority opinion, I know), I would be very receptive to a new Daredevil that gives it The Incredible Hulk treatment. (I.e. Recast and don't feel too married to the previous movie but don't tread all over the same ground either. No need to redo the origin story when the origin isn't that interesting to begin with.)

King Kong (2003): See above

Godzilla (1998): See above

Star Trek: Because JJ Abrams should be drawn and quartered and his limbs tossed over the cliff Emo Kirk drove the car off of.
So, you don't like JJ TREK, but you do like King Kong & PREGO GODZILLA?

I'd like to see remakes of the following. Outland, The Black Hole, WATCHMEN (make it a showtime or HBO maxi-series) The matrix sequels, Event Horizon, Earth 2, League of extraordinary gentlemen, Seaquest,( great idea, terrible exacution) Battlestar Galactica ( Not the Battlestar depression) & JUDGE DREDD (Make it more like the comics it's based on).

How the hell can anyone like Zilla? Seriously? They took the God out of him.

There needs to be a good high-budget remake of Godzilla, one that treats the big green guy like the force of nature that he is, rather than like an overgrown lizard. He's a semi-anthropomorphic personification of mother nature's rage, not a god damned animal.

Very few films need to be remade. The good ones will continue to stand on their own.

A Big-Budget reboot of Masters of the Universe would be nice, but I'm afraid that we don't have any modern action stars who can rival Dolph Lundgren.

That has got to be the most damning thing I've heard anyone say about contemporary Hollywood.

I would rather see a proper X-Men movie (First Class: Cyclops, Iceman, Beast, Angel, and Marvel Girl. Codenames, secret identidies and all) that would flush away the memories of the first Wolverine movies that pretended to be X-Men.

I'd love to see that, but I Doubt that will ever happen.:(

Not too many new suggestions from me, but I'm putting in my tuppence anyway.

Logan's Run - in today's youth obsessed era, it is probably even more relevant than it was in the 1970s

Daredevil - I like the Affleck version too, but about enough time has passed now for them to reboot it a la Hulk, especially since BA has said that he has no interest in reprising the part.

The A-Team - looks like that might be happening soon.

Flash Gordon/ Buck Rogers. Great comic strips from the 1930s, which have yet to be definitively filmed, IMHO. Both are long overdue a proper cinematic take.

Judge Dredd - and this time, he doesn't take off the helmet!

Conan - I used to like the Robert E Howard strip, but I thought both of the Arnie movies were awful. I don't get the love for the Milius movie at all, it's a pompous, long-winded piece of nonsense.

Predator - none of your AvP crap, just a new Predator movie with a suitable protagonise for Old Pussy Face

The Man From UNCLE - Tarantino and Matthew Vaughn (no relation to Robert) have been linked to movie versions, but it seems destined never to get off the ground. Jon Hamm and Paul Bettany for the leads, anyone?

I love Milius's Conan the Barbarian, and I like Fleischer's Conan the Destroyer, but a great new series of Conan films that sticks closely to Robert E. Howard's stories would be cool beans.

Conan is in development as a Nu-Image/Millennium/Lionsgate co-production. With Brett Ratner having exited the project, they've reportedly narrowed their list of directors to James McTeigue (V for Vendetta), Neil Marshall (The Descent, Doomsday), Christopher Gans (Brotherhood of the Wolf, Silent Hill), and Marcus Nispel (Pathfinder, Friday the 13th). I'm hoping for McTeigue or Marshall.

A big budget Masters of the Universe film is also in development under the title of Grayskull. John Woo came close to making it a little while ago, but that iteration of the project ending up falling apart.

Grayskull?:wtf: why are they going with that name? it should be either HE-MAN or MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE! *with theme music by QUEEN*;)
