Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus - Asylum's latest hit

Is this for real? I mean, seriously, are they filming this as an actual release? Because if they are I'm applying over at Asylum for a job-once this hits theaters I suspect they will have a few openings.

It has an IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1350498/

...and Lorenzo Lamas is in it, which makes pretty much anything believable. :p

Their movies rend to wind up as Sci Fi channel fodder, after direct to dvd release...

At least this trailer didn't give away the money shot where the shark jumps up and pulls the International Space Station out of orbit.

Movies from The Asylum don't go to theaters. They're straight-to-DVD, or are you unfamiliar with their great legacy that is Transmorphers, Snakes on a Train, The Day the Earth Stopped, Alien vs. Hunter, Alan Quatermain and the Temple of Skulls, The Hitchhiker, The DaVinci Treasure and the list goes on.

Alien vs. Hunter was on Skiffy a day or two ago.

I don't know what effects are worse, the one in that picture or the stuff used in "Jaws the Revenge".

The same way pornos can't, I suppose? Fox tried to sue them over The Day the Earth Stopped.

Considering part of their marketing is to ride the coattails of the big studio mainstream movies and make the most stupid people on the planet think what they're renting at Blockbuster is what's currently in theaters, maybe someone could successfully sue them.
