JUST A NOTE ABOUT ME

I see myself more of a director/exc producer then writer. I came up with all my stories and characters but when it comes to writing the screenplay I would hire someone to do it for me, I can express with verbal words but as you all have seen here, writing is not my best skill, dialog... sweet as. I would express what I want to people the way a director does, so do I need good grammar? yes and no, the thing you need to understand is I have watched a shit load of dvd movies and t.v series and I know what works and what doesnt I know what is entertaining and I know what my generation wants


I made a 13min short horror film call "Escape From Hellview" for my diploma and It was awesome first attempt at writing/directing and when we screened it at the school after it finished the room went apeshit with applause and noise. I don't get a big ego from this. it tells me that I know what im doing and I can make something entertaining

well i actually did enjoy reading your cinematic views of the film. But without the story being the backbone of the film, eye candy can only carry you so far. Although its not some of the ghouls on this forum would have you think. Given the chance they would eat their young.

I have watched a shit load of dvd movies and t.v series and I know what works and what doesnt I know what is entertaining and I know what my generation wants

Apparently hyper edited action films with dialogue like "Sweet as".

what im meant was although my grammar is in question when it comes to dialog im am..sweet as, that and im from New Zealand thats how we talk, we say sweet as all the time

in other words I am good at thinking up dialog

Listen, we all know that Fallout had words and people, but that was your OLDER BROTHER'S FALLOUT! Fallout is a dying franchise, man, and we need to revive it. My new Fallout doesn't have people it has EXPLOSIONS, LIVING EXPLOSIONS, and instead of boring words arranged in sentences, how lame, we have EXPLOSIVE SOUNDS OF EXPLOSIONS!

very true, and it was not my intention to do that, I thought that more people would read the forum because it was written by someone who understands films better then alot of average movie goers, I was wrong it didn't help and was unnecessary , I can prove to people in person how knowledgeable and creative I am but not through words on a forum

Okay ninjax, I kind of feel bad for you because you're not getting it. You created a thread, all in caps, telling us that you knew a lot about films because you graduated a film studies course. Fair enough, I thought, this could be pretty interesting.

Then you told us a few interesting bits, and a few things we already knew, or didn't need to be a film graduate to know, and I thought, well, that wasn't as good as it could have been, but whatever.

Then I read on and saw you say that you're an amazing film producer, you must be, because your country created LOTR, and you got applause when you showed your short film at school.

Then you carried on telling people how good you are, what an amazing writer and storyteller you are, and I have to tell you, even if you are as talented as you make out, you will get nowhere in the media industry without a little restraint, modesty, and self-control. You have to be respected to make it big, and arrogance isn't respected in someone new to the scene.

That's just something to bear in mind. Some interesting points though, I didn't realise it was all shot on film.

Jokes aside if you are knowledgeable about films let your critique speak for itself, don't tell your readers that you are smarter than them so they should listen to you. That immediately alienates people.

There are plenty of folks here who I know are vastly more knowledgeable about film than I am. I know this because of all the interesting things they write, not because they tell me they are.

im 23 years old and I haven't to high school since 2002

its GENERATION Y

I grew up in the late 80's/90's and grew up along side computers, consoles, technology rather then being born into a world like Generation Z or IPOD generation
