I'm going through the TNG DVD's and am almost through season 3. While watching "Yesterday's Enterprise" it hit me that Guinan, with her sense of things going wrong in time, would have fit in very well as a cameo in one of the time travel episodes of ENT. She was on earth during the time of Mark Twain. Maybe she could have at least been in the audience watching as the Federation is forming.

It might have been possible for Whoopi Goldberg to be on this series even more than she was on TNG if she was up for it. After all, when she came to TNG, she had just won an Oscar (1990) and still had a busy movie career. At the time of Enterprise, she was in movies much less frequently (which continues to this day). With all the guest spots she had on TNG even as a consistently working movie actor, imagine how much she could have been on Enterprise! She might have been a semi-regular!

I wish ENT Relaunch novels had explored some of that, particularly T'Pol's father. There are some good ideas there which could still be written into Relaunch.

How about Shockwave pt. 2 where, like somebody's cross mother, she says "Daniels" and has a way to return Archer that's a little more believeable than jabbing a cell phone with a screwdriver.

see- ST fans can agree (mostly on something) - Guinan would've been great! I really appreciate how much ST recycles actors and given Guinen's age she would not have even had to be another character. Would have offfered a really nice conncection to TNG. not just that awful TATV thing . . .

Its very interesting/odd that the Guinan story was registered two months after Enterprise was cancealed. Maybe TPTB thought there was still a glimmer of hope that it might come back in some form and the story was too strong to ignore?
