Assuming she has a carpet. You don't know how adventurous Kirk is, after all...
He's had pilot training, so I'd think he'd be at least looking for a small landing strip.
Enter his surprise when he suddenly finds himself in an impenetrable jungle.

The thing is, that Orion Slave Girls, or rather Animal Women, were implied in TOS to not be "all there". Pike was half planning to go into the Orion animal women business, so unless he was a callous bastard, selling Orion animal women has got to be 1. legal in the federation, and 2. not morally reprehensible.
Or in other words; the only way selling Orion slave girls is not morally reprehensible, is if NOT selling them is worse for them than selling them.
My personal pet theory is that during sex something happens that leaves an Orion woman completely vulnerable and unable to defend herself. Lots of generations ago while they were still animals, when their mates left them after sex predators at them. So the Orion primitive females needed to tie their mates to them; make it a significant gain for the mate to protect her in her vulnerable state. What they did; was become completely subservient to their mates, doing anything they wanted and even viciously fight to the death to protect their mates.
These women would survive and carry on their genetic line, the others die off; carry on a couple hundred thousand generations, and a rejection of their mates/masters would put them in depressive reaction that spirals down until they kill themselves, or they just starve to death.
Voila; Orion animalistic slave girls that if you do NOT treat them as slaves and property - they die. Thus the only people that can be legally sold as slaves in the Federation without it being reprehensible. Of course, the Federation would have extreme rules that are regularly tested about what you can and can't do with them - any abuse and you go to prison. You'd essentially be expected to keep the Orion woman safe and protect her life with your own, the same way she does instinctively to her mate.

A very un-PC theory. The Enterprise explaination was that they're a bunch of Poison Ivy's who are really just controlling all the Orion men with their pheromones. They only pretend to be slaves so they can get sold to other speices so they can go undercover and cause all types of havoc.
Trust me. JJ will bring her back as the Captain's Yeoman. No Janice Rand in the Alternate Reality.
Gaila of the Green Titties will be the Captian's Woman.
She'll have custody of the Tantalus Field, of course.
But seriously, expect to see a groundswell of support among the fans for keeping Gaila alive. She went in with the Hood and hopefully got out on an escape pod.

she survived! she had amnesia, and got thrown back to earth in the past. she had to color her skin, but her exceptional skills earned her a spot in the new military covert group called g.i. joe. you'll see her later this summer.

Well, when she got her assignment (which we didn't hear), she seemed happy and since she was Uhura's roomate, they may have both wanted ENTERPRISE. She may have gotten it and Uhura got Farragut, which she bullied her way out of.
