Is The Inevitable About To Happen? (Possible SPOILERS)

I assume its referring to the Children in Need mini, set between Parting of the Ways & The Christmas Invasion

as for Music of the Spheres, yes im not sure if we count that or not, I tend to say yes, but you guys know I dont count Attack of the Graske.

Yep. I read where it's "officially" called "Born Again". I honestly can't remember where I read it, though.

And whether you count any of those mini's as "cannon" or whatnot, it's still David Tennant appearing as the character of The Doctor. Thus, my point... :techman:

I've always looked at it as if they're on the DVD boxsets, they're canon.

Tennant has been The Doctor in pretty much 50 episodes by the time he regenerates (13 episodes x 3 + 3 Xmas Specials + 4 2009 Specials + "Born Again", "Attack of the Graske", "Music of the Spheres", and "Time Crash"). That's a large volume for a short period of time, thus it seems like he's been around longer than he has, actually. I agree it's time for him to go. Go out on top. Don't wait until he's worn out the welcome. He leaves now, and we remember the enthusiastic Doctor Who fan who actually got to live the dream. I will always prefer Tom Baker in City of Death over Tom Baker in his final season... :techman:
You forgot The Infinite Quest. Even though it's animated, it's more of an episode then the ones you've mentioned.
But, that's just my opinion.

Fair enough! I would count Infinite Quest, just based on the fact Tennant was voicing the 10th Doctor. Therefore, that's at least 51 appearances... :techman:

Oh God I just thought... They're not going to have The other Doctor kill The Doctor are they??? I can just see Rose dying in a flashback sequence, and The other Doctor being pissed off at our Doctor for whatever nonsence reason RTD wants.

... what on Earth are you talking about?

Just spotted this from Benjamin Cook's* Twitter for last Friday; the day the scene was supposed to be shot:

"In sun-drenched London. Just met an old friend. Been a while! She's looking well. :) Then tonight we're in studio. Should be interesting..."

"Lunch was rosy. Mmm, chips! Lovin' London. Nice change from Cardiff. Off to Southbank in a couple of hours. Here for a while yet, though..."

*DWM interviewer, auother of "The Writer's Tale" etc.

I wouldn't read between the lines too much, if I was you.

I think it's probably safe to say that if he was really with her he wouldn't be dropping massively unsubtle hints about it. But then again it could be the old double-bluff.

Well here we go. La Piper, Tennant and Camille Coduri have been shooting on the Tyler's housing estate tonight; which thankfully suggests a flashback* rather than the unbreakable barrier being broken again.

*Hopefully a one scene job a la Sarah-Jane.

EDIT: It appears that the scene is set in the gap between "The Christmas Invasion" and "New Earth".

I hope its a flashback, or even the Doctor being very naughty and looking back at Rose before the Auton attack.

Jackie and Rose wish each other a Happy New Year and Rose tells her not to stay out all night.

EDIT: Rose walks past the Doctor. He staggers in surprise. "You alright mate," she asks. "What year is it," he asks. "2005," she replies.

Considering she was uncertain of him until the end of the ep it seems like it's essentially it's a flashback to the beginning of the romance? Which works for me.

Update again. The full scene.

Rose walks past the Doctor. He staggers in surprise. "You alright mate," she asks. "What year is it," he asks. "2005," she replies. "You know what? I bet you're going to have a really great year," he says.

So basically a one-scene cameo as part of the "farewell tour" other scenes shot seem to indicate he's taking at the end of his last episode.

This sort of goes against what Captain Jack did which was to NOT intefere with Rose before he meets her(Sound of drums). Plus, Rose runs into 10 before the regeneration of nine so she should be asking questions.

Ofcourse it's not too much of an interference. All Captain Jack did was watch her grow up from afar.

It sounds like he's not really interfering, though. And I doubt Rose would remember a random man she said "you all right, mate?" to in the dark.

Sounds to me like he's flashing back through his companions the way Baker and Davison did; only this time the flashbacks are somehow tangible, so he gets to interact with them, however briefly.
