Ol' Chris Pike can never get a break !

AeroSquid

Ensign
Newbie
Geez! What a cosmic cross-dimensional joke! Poor pike goes on an Middy training cruise and get's fried by radiation. In the reboot, he get's replaced by a troublesome third year cadet and get's the wheelchair....again ! At least he has a bigger vocabulary than: "Beep." "Beep, Beep." and "BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP !"

Maybe it's because Captain Christopher Pike is always referred to as at least Christopher, if not the whole moniker. Chris is Pine.

Yeah poor Chris Pine can't catch a break. I feel bad for him on a daily basis....first he's born and raised in an acting family...I'm sure he was dirt poor growing up. Then he's cursed with boyish good looks and a pretty decent bod.....then his career takes a nosedive by scoring this uber awesome role ...yeah I'm feeling bad for poor ole chrissy pine right now....I'm so glad I'm not him!!!!!!!!

Pike'll be grateful for whatever bones he's thrown......this is "his" biggest role yet...with maybe more to come.

Gawd, it was so hilarious, listening to him explain how he had a job to repo exercise equipment when he was a teen. Maybe not dirt poor; but he wasn't doing that for method acting.

I don't understand why he was even in a wheelchair. Did the Romulans give him the mother of all anal probes or something?

I hear that in the sequel there going to show him getting old of the wheelchair all happy he can walk again only he ends up walking into a room filled with radiation onthe way out of the hospital. The very next scene shows him in his familiar wheelchair from TOS,having to talk with beeps and boops.

and do we know he's in the wheelchair permanently? Maybe it's just for hospital care...

That was my intial thought. We havnt see the best of Pike yet. Its probably a health ans safety regulation thing for him to be in a wheelchair, but that makes no sense due to the medical advances, he shouldve been walking around...

But, we saw an alternate Pike in a familiar position, i wasnt expecting that, but still loved it.
