First off: I post this thread in this forum, because I believe new fans are more likely to be here then in other forums. However, if the mods think the link to the new movie is tenuous at best, feel free to move it of course.
I've read in the past few days that new people have registered since seeing the new Star Trek movie. That they now consider themselves fans of Star Trek, where they didn't before. People now seem to regard Star Trek as cool. No longer "nerdy", it now seems to be "geek chic", just like Doctor Who.
Well, with all the talk of new fans being attracted to Star Trek, I'd like to test this theory. Do most fans wear uniforms every day, speak only in Klingon and never catch any sunlight? Or do those preconceptions hold even less truth then they did before? I'm very interested in the photo's we'll see. Let's see how many uniform pictures will crop up. Let's bring those preconceptions to an end, shall we?
That, and I'd like to see the faces behind the names here.
So, to that end, please post a photograph of yourself. And if you go to conventions and wear a uniform, yes, you're one of those fans and your picture needs you to be in uniform. Sombrero's are only allowed if you wear them daily.
Seeing as I'm the topic starter, I believe I'll have to go first:

See, even looks (barely) normal!
Who's next?
