ABC in Talks to Renew 'Scrubs'

'Scrubs' might not be checking out just yet. Although pretty much everyone assumed this would be the final season,' The Hollywood Reporter confirms that ABC is in talks to renew the veteran comedy for a ninth go-around. And that's not all. Though the show had introduced a fresh crop of interns should the show continue without its original cast, it now appears that series creator Bill Lawrence and some (or all) of the original stars -- yes, including Zach Braff -- may return as well. (April 28)

Whaaaat... the "finale" only managed 5 million. Doesn't Braff consider himself a major Hollywood movie star at this point? And I read a Bill Lawrence interview about how the budget was severely slashed for the final season, they couldn't leave the hospital to shoot exteriors, they couldn't have large group scenes, they had fewer days to film, etc, etc...
