'The Inbetweeners'- E4 sitcom, the anti-'Skins'

Yeah it's funny, I loved the speech Simon gave to Carly and gave her a CD with a drawing of her on it.

I think in the third series, Simon will get close to having sex with Carly, but will do something to ruin it, I want Will to be the first to get laid, just because he's underdog.

Neil will probably be the first to have sex, but he just won't tell anyone about it. Like he does with everything

Haha. I heard this quote earlier and it made me laugh - "The Lion, The Witch and the Speccy Kid who shit himself"

I was watching some random Peep Show this evening. It's funny how Will is basically the young Mark Corrigan. You can imagine he will grow up to be just like him.
Mark even has a similar backstory, in that he left a posh school to go to a comprehensive as his parents couldn't afford it or something (although Will's divorced)

Just thought I'd make a note (love bringing this, and the Being Human/Skins thread back) - The Inbetweeners has been commissioned for a third series, set to air in 2010, and their also working on a film where the guys go on holiday.

:D:D:D

I'd heard rumours there was going to be a film. I don't think series 3 was ever in any doubt... was it?

When was this confirmed?

I don't know when it was confirmed, I was just doing my usual wonder around websites and I found somewhere that E4 have comissioned a third series. The film though, I would pay to go see.

I guess it had to be confirmed recently, it's the first I've heard of it.

I'd go see a film too. I think it's my favourite current comedy.

I have just started watching this.
I am part way thought series 2 and i am enjoying it so far.
Wonder if they will spin off with the cast going to university?

You mean series 2?
Well as someone pointed out, they do seem to be taking the term a series route, so they could get a few more series from that quiet easily anyway.

Given the fact they all failed Year 12, they'll probably be there until Year 14, so atleast 4 more series if that's the case :). Two more otherwise.

Did they? I'm gonna have to watch again, I forgot that...

They do their Yr12 exams in the last ep of Series 2, but they don't get their results.

I say bring on Series 3, but as for a film.........
....... hmmm

A film of a British sitcom?
I sense "shite." Their tracks records aren't very good.

Plus why? What's the point? If they wanna finish it just do a feature length special like they did with The Office and Extras for example.
I mean what's gonna happen in a movie of it, just an excuse for some OTT gross out crap? A British American Pie. Probably akin to the crapploa American Pie Presents films.
I can pretty much write the script myself- they go on a school holiday, they all try and lose their virginities. Featuring set pieces where Jay is caught wanking by the head of Sixth Form or something, Neil gets caught get out at the wrong time so it looks like he's performing beastility or something.
Simon gets off with the cute local girl, Neil bangs Will's mum, Will gets Carly and upsets Simon, Jay just wanks himself dry, etc etc

I just can't imagine it being that great.

Yeah Bob, Simon was too busy helping Carly and didn't study, Jay and Neil just ignored studying all together, and Will shat himself during the exam after staying up for 24 hours hooked on energy drinks :P.

And no Ethros, I think the movie is a brilliant way of expanding the characters. When I think about it, I always think of a storyline similar to the "School Trip" episode of series two, where Jay only wants to go because of the "milf that sucks off a schoolboy every year".

Plus, the creators of the show were disappointed already, apparently the two guys who portray Will and Simon created their own script that was "funnier than theirs." That to me, makes it already worth watching.
