If you're going to discuss plot elements of the new movie, that's fine, but please, put spoiler warnings for those who haven't yet seen the movie.

Thanks.

I apologize.

I should have put in Spoiler Space before I mentioned the shot of Spock's forked penis during the urinal scene.

Again, don't post spoilers without a warning/spoiler tags. Regulars should know that. I will start warning people for this, if that is what it takes.

Shatmandu, there is no such scene! I would have been fully aware of it... haha

Why in the world did you resurrect a thread that'd been dead for three months?

It was on the first page for me, I didn't bother looking for the date.

Don't sweat it..I do it all the time. I don't care to read the dates either, if its an interesting thread...

Oh, and I love it when you start a new topic the mod will chime in with "Why not find this same thread on page 3 of this forum"...you can't win for losing it seems. Just take your lumps and move on...

I have a question regarding this thread and old age. When does this thread go unstickied? The movie has been out for months, and if you haven't seen it yet, than it's really on you to avoid spoilers.

in this economy? Waiting for a movie to come out on DVD might be way more cheaper (I was XI fifteen times in the theatre. When I think of all the money I might have save?)...whew

If you're coming to a Star Trek site, than you must be a Star Trek fan, and even if you don't go to the movies on a regular basis, you just might make an exception in this case to go spend a hard earned 10 bucks or so for this movie. Just one of those rare instances where you do decide to see a movie instead of waiting for the DVD. I'm just sayin'.

yeah..I totally agree. I went to see it all those times because I did like it and it was fun to watch normal people respond to the movie. TREK fans will like trek movies no matter how bad some of the TREK movies are..but TREK XI, and I know many on this site hated it, but it was a big hit and it was fun to watch the new actors and how the new generations of movie goers liked STAR TREK again..at least for one summer, TREK was hip...

So, do we still need to avoid spoilers, or can I go off on a rant about how this film is an abomination and an offense upon all that is good and holy?

"We all have our assigned duties"...

TREK XI has done its job; my daughter liked it, as did her friends. And it went along way to convince me that being heterosexual ISN'T a bad thing!

.
THERE'S A NEW MOVIE ! ! !

When did this happen?

-- oh, you meant that thing from half year ago --

You know, spoilers can be a good thing, too. When this movie first came out, I wasn't sure whether or not I wanted to see it. But after seeing and hearing and reading a fair amount of "spoilers," I was sure I didn't want to see it.

You forgot to put a spoiler tag around this AGAIN!

Happen to have any screen shots?
