'The Inbetweeners'- E4 sitcom, the anti-'Skins'

Jay's explaining the split was amazing. I'll be honest I thought the last 3 were nowhere near as good as the first three... but it's still 10000x better than any other comedy on at the moment. I loved Will's reasoning behind his latest embarrassment too, with the rationalising and the downing pints. Classic.

So now we can count down to new Peep Show, the true king of comedy.

There's another series of Peep Show due? I don't know I bought the first 3 series, never bothered after that, but I'll still check it out.

It's ok and worth seeing reminds me a lot of 90s ch4 sit-com 'Teenage Health Freak' remember that.
It has highlights but I would not want to watch it over again as I would with The IT crowd.

Jay- "I've never felt like this about a bird before. Chloe's special."
Neil- "What, more special than those twins that only wanted anal?"

Can't say I'm a fan of the IT Crowd either. To be fair I only saw part of the first episode, and it just wasn't my cup of tea sitcom-wise. I did think "what the fuck is Chris Morris doing in this?" though

Peep Show is one of my all time faves, and can't wait for Series 6. I do think though they just need to get rid of Sophie; I can't stand her character. After Mark jilted her at the end of Series 4 she should have just not been in it anymore, or at least sparringly. Now with the end of Series 5 with her being pregnant with either Mark or Jez's kid, I'm weary of her no doubt recurring presence

I love IT Crowd, it did take a few episodes to really grow on me though.

Peep Show was another one I didn't watch for a while, but when I did I really liked it, but to be honest last series it seemed a bit stale.

^ My old housemate said the same. He claimed the end of s4, after the wedding, would have been a perfect ending. I sort of agree, but equally s5 had some fantastic moments.

I say get rid of Sophie and have more Big Suze, Nancy and The Johnson. The Johnson and Super Hans are the real stars anyway.

^ And more Dobby too. Mmm...

I think nearly every series I think it's not as good as it was, then I rewatch it on DVD and love it just as much. The most quotable show ever besides Partridge IMO

I cried when Jay got dumped, emotional stuff.

@ Bob, is that you and your baby in your avatar?

Yeah sort of, just when he sat down and started crying I couldn't help but follow suit. I loved the "theres plently more clunge in the sea" line though, made me laugh.

I swear Inbetweeners is the only show that makes me laugh out loud more than once or twice in an episode.

And congratulations Bob :)

It always makes me laugh the way he says clunge, or gash as if they're the only words that would ever fit in that sentence.

Thanks, he's 9 months old now, I've just got it as an avatar cos it's the only half decent pic of me I could find on my computer.

^ Yes it is. And I completely forgot Dobby. She has to be The One.

I'm curious as to what The Inbetweeners can/will do next. We've had pretty much all the obvious sixth form activities in the first two series i.e. exams, trips, girls, Duke of Edinburgh, work experience.

Is there any official word on a third series yet? I gather there'll be one after Series 2 did pretty well for E4 ratings, and the show has become very popular and well known comapred to Series 1 where hardly anyone had heard of it.

I like that Will is actually the only one of them to come extremely close to having sex, but blew on all three occasions times

I like that, too. But why does he keep doing it? You'd think he'd learn his lesson.
