Wil Wheaton goes to the movies

curson

Lieutenant Commander
Red Shirt
Just got Wil's reaction after seeing the movie in my RSS feed from his blog, and thought about sharing here.

Not that if he likes it I will have to, but it's a good sign, among the many others I'm getting recently. My approach to this movie (ticket booked for Friday afternoon... couldn't go earlier than that) is getting better by the hour.

The post is SPOILER FREE, don't know about the comments 'cause I've not read them all, so just don't scroll too much if you don't want to risk :P

As positive as it is, I think that there's a lifetime clause in all of the actors that they either have to praise every incarnation of Trek or say nothing at all. :)

LOL :D as cynical as you're sounding, I guess we can't rule that out.

Still, this time around I'll jump on the naïve train and trust the reaction as genuine.
It must be the excitment building up.

I think I remember Wheaton speaking really bad about Nemesis, Stuart Baird etc etc And he is really critical about TNG at times.

Maybe someone who follows these things more closely can confirm ?

Gawd that picture of him is scary and so very, very unattractive...but the review is as usual...GLOWING...or to quote will "fucking" glowing.

ahhh well, one reason why Wheaton spoke badly about Nemesis wasn't because it was a bad movie, it might have been because he scenes were left on the cutting room floor.

So, does Wil explain how going to see the movie at a public presentation is less potential exposure to the so-called "swine flu" than showing up for the gala premiere would have been?

Indeed, that's sure a reason good enough. Or is it not?
I usually find myself pretty on his level about ratings and opinions, so I hope this time won't be different. I didn't like Nemesis too much, and my scenes were not "left of the cutting room floor", so maybe there was something truthful even coming from his bitter self, no? :P

Maybe the reason for that is that it's good, GAWD DAMNED FUCKING good.
