I just can't take it anymore! Think, it's great fun to have discussions regarding the metaphysical, the mystical, the whatever, but your writing is not conducive to discussion: your posts don't make any sense! I can see that you're doing a sort of free-association writing. This would be a lovely style of writing for poetry, and some of your phrases do indeed come off as poetic. However, when trying to carry on a conversation, or especially to argue a point, one must be a tad more precise with one's language. Though anyone who reads a Think post in its entirety can usually get the gist of what you're trying to say, the details and exactitude are lost in the lack of organization, misspelled and misused words, and either complete lack of punctuation, or crazy Thinkland punctuation, i.e." .,, ., ." Commas only follow periods when the period is being used in an initial, a title, or an abbreviation! And, as far as I know, two commas are never used together! The reason many of the responses in this thread are one-offs is that you are not doing your part to carry on a conversation. Sometimes I can't even tell if you're actually addressing the posts you quote!
I'm not generally a stickler for perfect grammar -- even as a teacher of literacy. In fact, particularly because I am a teacher of literacy I have great affection and respect for the wide variety of ways that people, especially children, make use of language. Imaginative use of words, creative punctuation -- I'm all for it! But ultimately the goal of language is communication, and frankly, my kindergarteners have better written communication skills than you are exhibiting in this thread.
Use complete sentences (but no run-ons), proper punctuation, and be sure your paragraphs include a complete thought and supporting and relevant information. Double check to make sure the word you are using is really the word you want -- make sure it means what you think it means! When you employ grammar, it will be much easier to discuss these topics. I am extremely interested in physics and artificial intelligence -- the only kinds of philosophy I can stomach are related to these sciences. I think (though one cannot be sure!) that you are expressing interest in the nature of being, the nature of reality, and so forth. It'd be great to discuss and debate these issues. Please don't take this as an attack, because I don't mean it as such, but rather as some suggestions that you may or may not want to take to heart. If, on the other hand, your being unintelligible on purpose, by all means continue.
And, on topic, I think tarot cards are ridiculous. Entertaining, like palmistry or crystal ball gazing, but ultimately ridiculous.
