First timers?

I just realised when I was reading some-one else post that this will be the first star trek I have seen on the big screen... any-one else?

My local cinema never showed INS or NEM. I dont know about before that, but as far as I hear and read STXI is THE summer flick this year so I can't imagine they wont show it. If they do it will be my first Trek on the big screen. If they don't I'll travel. lol.

My first silver screen Trek was Generations, as I was only 4 when TUC came out. This will be my 5th Trek movie seen in the theaters...but this is the most excited I've been since First Contact premiered back in '96.

I am pretty much in the exact same boat.

I was excited for every TNG movie, and I even saw INS and NEM twice in theaters (even though I wasn't terribly impressed with them).

I really got into Trek in 93 at the age of 9 and have seen all the TNG movies at the cinema. I thought it would be a lot longer before it happened again and this time it's on the IMAX in manchester- amazing and i'm going Saturday.

Interesting. How come so many of you decided not to see Nemesis? Was it the bad reviews? or were you burned out on Star Trek at the time? I know I was...

I saw Generations on the big screen when I was 10 years old...but I don't count that as a movie, more of a double-length TNG episode, so yes, Star Trek will be my first Trek movie seen in theatres (IMAX to be exact, Thursday @ 9:55 PM with my beautiful wife)

WORST PERIOD OF WAITING EVER!!!!

And I do hope they search us for snacks lol

You can search all you want, you will never find it all!

I've seen them all from the Undiscovered Country up until Nemesis on the big screen.

Though I was kind of young and don't remember much from UC

I saw Generations and Insurrection in theaters. I dont exactly remember why I didn't see First Contact and Nemesis in theaters. I probably couldn't convince my parents to take me to see First Contact and I guess I was to busy to see Nemesis

[uses best old fart voice] Damn all you young whippersnappers! [old fart] I'm actually glad to see so many younger fans, but after this movie you will all be old farts, too. :rommie: I can hear it now: "I was a fan back in the old TNG movie era!" :guffaw:
I've seen them all on the big screen -- except Nemesis.
I've also seen all but Nemesis in theaters. I saw TMP on my birthday as a college freshman.

It was a dark time in the world of Trek. A pall hung over the empty theaters...

There are some things it is better NOT to ask about! Will they have to "rape your childhood" to find it all? :guffaw::guffaw:

This will be the first one I've seen on IMAX, does that count?

By Friday, I'll have seen all of them on opening weekend, the last 7 of them on opening day/night.

Last time I was in theaters to see a Trek motion picutre was Search for Spock...so yeah it's been awhile!

I'm not counting "The Menagerie" seen a couple of years ago either.

I've seen Insurrection and Nemesis so this will be the first good Star Trek movie I'll be seeing in the theatres.

I know for certain that I've seen 4 onwards at the cinema. I can't remember if I saw 2 and 3 at the cinema too.
