Time for another new episode tonight, ladies and gentlemen. A Castiel heavy ep--though not really. ;) At least they're going to play the last three episodes three weeks straight. There was talk that CW was going to take another break but they're not going to do that. The new version of Melrose Place is still on for next fall, though. Can't do anything about that.

A clip from tonight's episode.

And a description of the finale from Eric Kripke--

Kripke SpeaK............

"It's hell-raising time. The angels are using all their heavenly mojo to stop demon Lilith from freeing Lucifer from Hades. But there's trouble among the good guys. 'Dean and Bobby learn about Sam's demon-blood addiction,' exec producer Eric Kripke says, 'and, not wanting to forfeit Sam's soul, they'll take drastic action that will drive a wedge between [the Winchester brothers].' There will be a huge confrontation, bridges burned and a 'seemingly insurmountable chasm between the guys,' he adds. Meanwhile, the Angels are preparing Dean for his role in stopping the Apocalypse. Though he won't divulge the cliff-hanger, Kripke says, 'The stage is set for Season 5 - and it ain't good.'"

Well, it sounds better than the Heroes finale at any rate. Not that it would take much.

I hate to say it but I'm turning into a gibbering fan-girl in anticipation of this episode. I simply CANNOT wait until 9 tonight...there's no question tonight whether it's The Office or Supernatural THIS night...no flipping channels.

There's another video 'preview' out there (found it on Supernatural's Facebook page) showing even more thought provoking scenes (something like a demon sucking Jimmy's soul? It's hard to tell).

Unfortunately I think there is one more break after next week's episode before the finale.

Oh, I didn't see that preview. Yeah, Misha Collins is pretty addictive. I wonder if poor Jimmy is due to meet Jesus. If Castiel is going to be around next season like they say, that might clear the way. If a demon can animate a body, obviously an angel can as well. Or maybe not. I haven't a clue.

Misha Collins was at the con in Australia with the two J's. He's even crazier than they are. That's saying a lot. :guffaw: It's official, the finale will air on May 14. No more breaks. They were thinking about it, but thought better of it.

I wonder if its going to take greater and greater amounts of blood to keep him sated...

Like the lady demon said, he can't get it up. The abilities wear off quickly. Ruby planned this pretty well. Pretty convenient that he can't find her now.

I wonder if Castiel has been brainwashed, or he's just being careful about what he says. I liked his progress thus far.

Also, I'm glad we got to keep the actor/character... but the manner in which this was accomplished was all pretty heavy.

TPTB get pretty bleak at times, don't they? I think Castiel got his ass handed to him in heaven for what he did in "The Monster at the End of the Book." They didn't sugar coat how he got into Jimmy in the first place, did they? Turning his back on Jimmy's daughter was cold. Cas is in serious trouble, but so is Sam. Getting to the point where he'll attack some random demon and suck her blood in front of Dean shows Sam is in a bad way.

It's sure not Heroes, is it? I have to say I was impressed with how Misha Collins created two distinct characters.

No it is not.

I really hope they eventually reveal what the hell (pardon the pun) is going on upstairs. The place seems poorly run.

The best thing about this episode was seeing how good an actor Misha Collins is. The change from Castiel to Jimmy made him almost unrecognizable in some ways. My favorite part was when Castiel took over once more all I needed to see to know that was the expression on his face. I love actors who can pull that off.

Whoever cast Misha Collins sure hit a home run. That's for sure and a half. Yeah, God seems like a jerk. But TPTB did declare in a press release that angels are dicks. They sure are. Not exactly Touched By an Angel material, is it?

Well, Bible-wise, angels were never cuddly. So, that much I'm OK with. Besides, it makes for more interesting characters. It's more that I assumed that God/Heaven would be on humanities' side, but they seem to have their own agenda and are very much serving their own interests. Not complaining, mind you, I just hope they explain this at some point down the road.

Well I watched the preview for the next two weeks and Damn, I like. I also loved the last ten minutes (thats all I 've watched so far, just had t peak). I figured the ending was coming, so wasn't surprised, but I loved it.

I am worried about something though.
Since its strongly rumored that Bobby bites the big one, I was thinking about how he might die and thought the better not have it be at Sam's hands, sort of echos of Mystery Spot. Any thoughts, do you think the producers would go that far with Sam.

Did I hear right n the preview that the Angels want Dean to let Sam feed?

As much as I loved seeing bloody mouthed Sam, I really (I know Mark its tv not film) wanted a vast zoom in on Dean's face to see utter shock and horror. Hopefuly we see more of Dean's actual reaction next week.

Next week looks really good, and yeah Dean you go cut that bitch, I mean seriously I like Sam dark but I have been really, really waiting to see Dean just kill the bitch.

Do I think the producers would got that far with Sam? No.

But they'd go so far as to let him *try* when he's in the throes of withdrawal and be unsuccessful. I wouldn't be surprised.

Misha Collins is a very good actor. Seriously. As for the preview, I'm not sure if I heard that. I usually DVR, but my machine developed a hiccup. I can't rewatch to make sure.

Nope he is talking to Bobby (I assume) when it appears that Sam's withdrawel is threatening is life.

They caught me completely off guard with that ending. The deflection with Dean suckered me good.

At first I was thinking this was going to be really boring with human Castiel but they turned it into a pretty good tale. "I am not your father." What a bastard, Castiel!

Castiel had no inkling of human emotion at that point. It was incredibly cold to the little girl. He had no clue about proper social interaction and behavior. I'm not the girl's father so why pretend? Angels aren't human; TPTB like to drive that home every once in a while. Castiel obviously got re-educated pretty good since we last saw him.

Decent, not great. The best part was at the end when they locked up Sam at Bobby's in the vault. I didn't see that coming.

At times, I've been lukewarm with the Winchester brothers so I've welcomed the writers putting more of a focus on the angels and giving Misha Collins' Castiel more of a role. He did a good job playing the two different personas. The angel intrigue with the internal struggle has certainly been one of the better aspects of the season as well as the addition of a variety of interesting angels.

I was also surprised to learn that the demon blood is acting like a drug creating an addiction for Sam. And Jared did a great job being sinister with his contorting and evil facial expressions.

I'm also curious to learn more about the vessels being in the blood line of certain families and what happened to Castiel to make him so cold towards Dean when he returned and possessed Jimmy's body.

The only real weaknesses were the standard fight sequence the show always has near the end, the fact I knew his friend Roger was a demon and that Jimmy's flashback story wasn't that particularly interesting just pretty straightforward but okay.

i enjoyed tonights episode, so 1 more episode to the finale? i still think zachariah is behind all this, on the angel's side at least. he and the other angels for some unknown reason want their fallen angel brother lucifer to be unleashed.
