Trek Me Out To The Ballgame

Now if I can only trick my non-Trek friends/baseball friends into going without them finding out about the Trek thing. *scratches chin*

Just got my tickets! I'm taking my old man as a birthday present, as he is the reason I ever got into Trek in the first place.

I'll start taking bids for my foam Vulcan fingers. ;)

They've started promoting the whole thing during tonight's Giants broadcast, even having some kid modeling the foam fingers.

Tonight's the night. For those not going, pregame is on Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area Plus, not the regular channel because of the Sharks' playoff game. With the way the wind's going around here, I wonder if some Vulcan ears are getting blown off.

Figures; tonight's the one night Barry Bonds is at the ballpark and doesn't have the biggest forehead.

I just got back...and wow, what an awesome night. Lots of fellow Giants and Trek fans there, some really great costumes, and the best part...the Giants beat the Dodgers! I'll have a full write up and pics some time tomorrow when I put together my article for TrekMovie.com.

The San Francisco Chronicle has a few images taken at the game.

Hey! That's me in the blurry black hat behind him! That guy was quite a character. I thought it was hilarious that his communicator was a miniature Hallmark Christmas Ornament and not a full size replica.

Looks like TrekMovie.com has decided to go ahead and post an article about the game before I could send in my pics...so I guess he doesn't want them. Whatever. I'll post them a little later tonight for you all here to enjoy.

Now that I know where to look, I see you. :D

You should send copies to Anthony anyway. He often updates articles to add more material as it becomes available and so far, it looks like he's just got some none-too-sharp pics of the scoreboard display.

You'd think...but he just emailed me today telling me not to bother; that he already has a story and some pics up. I'm a little insulted because I took extra effort to get a lot of shots of the costume contest entrants and the event itself...but I guess he's happy with three crappy shots of the Jumbotron.

Ah well, doesn't mean I can't share them with you guys. Here goes!

Some cool scoreboard shots of JJ's clip, the trailer and the winning Orion slave girl.

An interesting side note...I found out through some sneaky text-message eavesdropping...the guy in the above picture (Kirk) and the girl (the Orion slave girl)...

...used to date.

The costume contest was canon!

And just because, here's a sweet panoramic shot of the ballpark :)
