Nintendo DS games?

Wow, thanks everyone.

I am open to hearing more, but I may well check out Partners in Time.

I love SimCity so I might try that one, too. Anyone played the Civilization game? Or maybe the Anno 1602 game? Are they any good? And by "good," I mean from the perspective of someone who's familiar with the PC versions, too.

I might try New Super Mario Bros. Mario 64, I just never really got into, on any system. Plus, I didn't care for the DS controls on that game.

I want to check out the GTA game, too. The top-down view won't bother me one bit because that's how I cut my teeth on the GTA series--the first two games being completely top-down.

I agree wholeheartedly about mario 64 DS... almost unplayable for me on the DS, but I loved the hell out of New SMB. feels very much like a modernized SMB1, with some of the nice features from SMB3 and World trown in for good measure.

As for Civilization: Revolutions... coming from a fan of the series, it's a nice, simplified version of Civ 4. I like it a lot, but it doesn't really hold a candle to the full Civ4 There are some things I have a problem with... like there not being any preview of the defending units in a city. There is also very little actual city management, so it becomes incredibly combat focused. The speed of the game is stepped up, so you can complete a whole session in 2-3 hours (at medium difficulty). Basically, it's not perfect, but it definitely feels like Civ, and it's nice to have with you on a long layover when you need your Civ fix.

Chrono Trigger is worth a purchase if you're a fan of the series, as it's rumored they released the game to gauge interest in making another sequel. I played it through once, and was surprised how emotionally attached I still got to the characters and the story, but I'll admit I haven't gone back to get any of the new content or alternate endings. Chrono Break (or whatever you're gonna call it) better be coming soon, Squeenix!

The World Ends With You is a damned interesting Square-Enix RPG. I'd give it a rental and see if you like it, but it's one of my favorite games on the system.

I also really liked Trauma Center: Under the Knife (and its sequel). I could do without the story, but the gameplay itself is amazingly addictive.
