Star Trek XI Burger King Happy Meal figures/ships pics

Yeah. Good point. Even the more frightening ones tend to all seem the same.

Remember, guys.

When EPISODE III hit theaters, BK had an entirely different line of toys than it did about five or six months later when the movie came out on DVD. I imagine there's going to be another cross-promotion when the movie hits home video and there will be different figurines and vehicles.

Yeah, and they're same flippin' toys.

Look familiar.

They're crap but I was able to make $200 for the Star Wars III set on eBay when I paid $36.

EDIT: I DIDN'T SEE THIS POST ORIGINALLY

These toys use the same design template as the EPISODE III toys the chain sold at two different points in 2005. Oversized heads, tiny bodies, misshapen ship parts.

On the brightside, while doing this search I found this:

Ever wonder what Gears of War would be like if the King was in that game? Wonder no more...

Speaking of Burger King games, I have all 3 that BK put out a few years ago.

Big Bumpin' didn't control very well.

Pocketbike Racer was actually decent. It would keep the kids out of your hair for a few minutes, which is worth the additional $4 you paid to get one of those games along with your value meal.

Sneak King though, was the best. In that game, you played the King, sneaking around and surprising people with food whenever they got hungry. A friend of mine in college joked about modding the game to put a knife in his hand and stab people instead. I didn't find that to be very funny myself but, it would make an awesome game. It's not like the King isn't creepy enough... :shifty:

BTW, the Klingon ship looks cool but, the other pics just suck.

What ever happened to the ST drinking glasses? I remember someone talking about those. My local BK says all they are doing is the SpongeBob crap, no ST promotion.

Doesn't quite measure up to the first one, but what would? :techman:

I thought I remembered something about glasses, too.

Edit:

Yes, the set of four glasses is pictured on the event poster.

Thank you. I could not remember the promotion date. My local BK still says they are keeping SpongeBob. I hope they are wrong.

I wonder if it's the sort of thing individual franchises have the option to do or not do -- remember the TV commercials which used to say: "Available at participating ________."

Are there other BKs in your vicinity you could try? Next town over, or whatever?

Perhaps in Charlotte, NC (about an hour away). All the small town BKs are owned by the same franchise. I really hate Charlotte traffic!:alienblush: It's why I moved to the country.

Who did you talk to at your local BK? A manager or the 14 year-old kid who takes your order? The ST stuff won't be out until that May date, glasses included. They may not have known when the SpongeBob promotion ends and the Trek one begins or they just don't keep track of that stuff off the top of their heads.

Gonna have 2 eat a LOT of BK meals...

Times like these, having five kids really pays off!

(^course, I may not still be saying that when it comes to paying the concession stand $$$ May 8th - or having to fight with them over letting *me* keep all the BK toys...)

I'll futz around with it later on and see what I can do in terms of size and appropriateness.

You don't ahve to buy the meals. They will sell them for 69 cents each.
