What classic movie musical is this?

I saw a snippet of this a few years ago on TCM, I think. It was a "classic" movie - meaning, somewhere between the 1940s to 1960s. It was a musical. It was set in the South - possibly Georgia? (Southern USA, that is) It was about Greek Goddesses - or perhaps the daughters of one of the Greek Gods? And they all lived in a mansion. One of them was about to get married to a mortal.

And that's everything I can remember. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Maybe Vash?

Maybe "Down to Earth" with Rita Hayworth?

That was the only one that I could come up with on google, but that one is about a night club and mobsters and stuff. It doesn't seem to match what little I remember. Thanks, though!

The only thing else I can remember is that the lead girls were all sisters, ... ok, not girls, they were all adults ... the mansion/plantation/whatever house it was had large pillars holding up the room along the outside, there was a large dancing room, and I think the doors had "French pane" style windows on them.

Zion may be at least partially right about "Xanadu".

I'm also guessing the movie you saw was "Down to Earth" (1947) w/ Rita Hayworth, imdb as one of the Greek Muses It's a musical sequel to "Here Comes Mr Jordan" (1941). And, strangely enough, "Xanadu" (1980) is a partial retelling and continuation (pseudo-sequel?) of "Down to Earth"

Could it be Athena starring Jane Powell, Debbie Reynolds and Vic Damone? (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0046728/)

It's probably been, I don't know, at least 30 years since I've seen it, but I remember there are a bunch of sisters and they're all named after goddesses or constellations or something, and they all live together in a mansion...

If so, I don't know how "classic" it is, unless the only criteria is age. ;)
