No, and I can't believe they are waiting this long to make a decision.

I'm hearing alot of things in this regard. Some think this danger of cancellation is just a ploy by NBC to try and drum up support and advertising for the show. Because the tie in to Subway seems a little suspicious to some.

There are other sources who claim that NBC is still in negotiation with Warner Bros. over the price, and that's what the delay is.

Then there are others sources who claim it's renewed they just don't know if they want to keep it on Mondays or move it.
Sigh, the Leno deal is the kill factor here. If they do pick it up, it most likely won't stay on Monday, which leads to where in the schedule could it be moved, and there, the real angst begins. Tuesdays-no, cause NCIS mows over everything during the fall, then Idol comes back in January, so cheapo Biggest Loser fares ok against them both, and they aren't gonna move that in favor of an expensive scripted show...Wednesday at 8 would fit, given the present competition, but they'd need a compatible show to follow it and lead to Leno...if Southland gets a 2nd year, it'll have to go on Wed or Fridays at 9, and Friday isn't the ideal slot. 2 Law and Orders have to fit somewhere and they can't (not usually) air them as early as 8pm...Friday night-shudder, the death zone for network genre shows, but it's light enough that paired with a couple of sitcoms and Leno, the honchos might go for it...
Or hold it for Sundays after NFL football ends, but would the suits think it's successful enough to run on the most watched night of the week? A long shot, but with 5 hrs swallowed by Leno, those are the options the programmers will be forced to weigh.

They've actually been promoting the series finale and they've updated the website to encourage people to go and watch it. So that's something. Read into that what you will.

I see no reason why Chuck can't join the Thursday night NBC crew. I definitely consider it Must See TV.

Half of NBC's Thursday night comedy lineup seems to be bombing anyway. The Office and 30 Rock from 8-9, then Chuck from 9-10. Or vice versa.

Chuck being on Thursdays at 9 PM would suck for me, though, being both a Chuck and a Supernatural fan. :p I'd probably watch Supernatural though, because NBC is a lot better about getting their shows online than the CW is.

I've had to watch the last half of this season on hulu.com anyway, so I don't really care. But I feel like Thursday would be an awesome night for Chuck.

And I bet it would Heroes lose more viewers. The only reason I watched the few episodes of Heroes that I did this year was because it happened to be on after Chuck. If they had been on different nights, I wouldn't have even bothered with Heroes.

Not wishing ill will toward Jay Leno, but he cancelled today's Tonight Show taping as he went to the hospital. I like pre-TS Leno a lot. But his nightly prime-time show is a really bad idea.
Not to mention it's pissing all over Conan. For a comedian who likes to promote his "nice guy" image it's totally classless to go and bump O'Brien back to second fiddle. Carson wouldn't have pulled a stunt like that.

Actually its par for the course for him. He stole his Tonight Show chair right out from under Letterman - who Carson had hand picked to replace him. It created so much bad blood the former friends have nothing to do with each other. Carson didn't like it either.

Leno is a talentless hack who specializes in OJ jokes and Bill Clinton Likes Pussy jokes. For some reason, those are still popular with people. His funniest bits are stuff people send into him. That old joke Bill Hicks used to tell about how Jay Leno sucks Satan's cock I'm especially reminded of.

Actually, on the website it says SEASON finale, not series finale.

Sorry, yeah that's what I meant. Sorry to freak everyone out there.

The cast and crew are having a podcast soon. Only Yvonne won't be there as she's on location back home in Australia.

A rumor surfaces! And it's a good one. :)

An NBC and WB insider is telling series.nu that Chuck is getting a third season of 13 episodes…

The NBC insider says that Chuck will get a third season of 13 episodes. But an other insider at WB is telling its not 100% sure, but its looking very good for the show.

I have no idea about the credibility of that website, never run across it before.

Last week we had an exclusive article about Chuck, that the show could move to The CW. Dawn Ostroff, President of Entertainment of The CW likes Chuck and had interest in the show if NBC would cancel it, but NBC has never offered the series to The CW.

Aw too bad. If they moved it to The CW, Chuck would take his shirt off more. :rommie:

If that means Sarah takes off her shirt more too, I'm all for it. :D

Though I suppose we've seen a lot more Sarah cheesecake than we have Chuck beefcake, so should have your wish too.

Unfortunately, that rumor has already been debunked.

Josh Schwartz said:
“The rumors are untrue. we have not heard anything nor do we expect to for a little while longer. So keep spreading the word, getting your friends to watch Monday and thank you for the amazing support so far.”

The problem with a woman taking her top off on regular tv is that we either view nothing but naked shoulders up from the from front, or it's bare backle... So, really, I'd rather enjoy her holistically than lose vast tracts of camera angles chasing my pipes dream.

Bad rumor, actually.
Pedant alert, Chuck is produced by Warner Bros, so if NBC cans it, they have no say it whether the studio can take it elsewhere...Of course, with Josh Schwartz also behind the CW's over buzzed Gossip Girl, it's possible they'd want to keep him (and Warners) happy by picking up Chuck, but it doesn't exactly fit the teen soap demo Ostroff has been chasing-Smallville and Supernatural remain because, well, they've got nothing else to replace them with that would match their ratings performance. .

If, in two weeks, that is the last episode of the show to ever air, it will be one of the least satisfying finales of all time. Chris Fedak, the guy who created the show, said people will set their living rooms on fire.
I'll probably hold off watching next week's episode until we have got some confirmation of a new season (or reactions to 2x22 contradicting the above). Otherwise, I'm fine with considering this episode the series finale given the quote. :)

Not on the CW (they're only interested in female viewers, which is why poor Reaper is history even tho its ratings are as good as Gossip Girl's ).

Chuck's audience probably skews too male to interest the CW.

True, but Warner Bros. likes the show and they would want to keep a good working relationship with Josh Schwartz. And most of their shows, including 90210 and Gossip Girl, would kill for Chucks ratings.
