The Savage Curtain

I was just thinking the other day about that good vs. evil plot of "The Savage Curtain." Has anyone else noticed a common theme running between the 4 players on the Good side? Abraham Lincoln tried to bring peace and unite a divided U.S. in the Civil War. Surak tried to bring peace and unite a warring planet of Vulcan. These thoughts were drawn from both Kirk and Spock's minds. Was there some unforeseen foreshadowing here?? As Kirk and Spock both ended up later playing key roles in ST VI in trying to bring peace with the Klingon Empire and the Federation. Spock goes on in TNG to try to bring peace and reunify Vulcan and Romulus. The people we admire as our heroes often depict the kind of people that we are.

Well good versus evil is real. And there might have been some foreshadowing involved as well. Agreed on your last point too.
