Andthe 'Dork of the Year' award goes to...

msbae

Commodore
... a British couple who got married dressed as Shrek and Fiona. No, I'm not making this up, people.

What a bunch of Dorks. :guffaw:

And no, I'm not interested in wearing a Starfleet uniform when some girl I've yet to meet convinces me to make an honest woman out of her. That's just an example of fandom going to far.

Looks like the couple and their guests had an enjoyable event.

I think it's cute too..however her costume is better than his! He looks like he has a pair of rubber knickers or something else on his head! It makes me think of safe sex. I don't think it's dorky..whatever turns you on. It's not as bad as getting married on the Enterprise-D like some couple did in the 80s or 90s. Talk about nerd-fest! They both dressed as Riker and Troy on TNG. But to each his own I guess..whatever floats your boat!

Eh. It's cute--and she does kind of look like Fiona, in a good way, though. It's a little funny that their name is "Green," too.

People I went to college with got married with Beauty and The Beast theme that was so over the top, it was bit creepy. They had the costumes, the music, everything. I thought it was a bit insulting for the groom, though. At least he didn't have to wear the beast "before" costume.

Part of me thinks it's cute part of me thinks it's ridiculous. I think her make up is great, and she looks very pretty. Him less so. Their surname is Green. That's so appropriate!

LOL!

The former president of the DDR Club here is getting married in October. Everyone in the club started coming up with crazy dorky/nerdy ways for them to get married when we found out he'd proposed, including, but not limited to, saying their vows while standing on DDR pads and even a Star Trek wedding (uniforms and all.)

Heh, I think it would be cool if everyone wore Starfleet uniforms if/when I get married, but my parents would probably never ever speak to me again if I went through with it.
