Latest Rasmusssen Poll not good for Global Warming Alarmists

Looks like the lid is coming off the Global Warming Hoax, according to the latest Rasmussen Poll which shows that only 34% of Americans believe that human CO2 emmissions are causing "global warming", and even among Democrats, it's only 51%.

So it looks like people are waking up and realizing, what I have said all along, is that Global Warming is just the new tool for Leftist Politicians and trans-national organizations to CONTROL the population under the guise of environmental issues.

Just like some have said on other global warming threads, that after witnessing Mother Nature in action, beit tornadoes, hurricanes, and volcanoes, that she'll take care of herself and there ain't hardly jack shit that we can do about it.

And I'd just like to remind you that the world was much warmer back at the end of the last Ice Age than it is today. And I'd venture to guess that if there was modern people back then, with all the science we have now, that they'd say that that was a GOOD thing.

Com'on people...the bottom line is that the world works in cycles. Sometimes it's cooler than normal, and at others it's warmer. And I'd make a good bet that at each time, CO2 emmissions had nothing to do with it.

Even if the world is warming now, has anyone ever thought it could just be attributed to global axis wobble? You know 2012 is coming up here real shortly, which is supposedly the climax of the latest wobble according to the ancient Mayans.

Yep.

Dumping tons of shit in the air isn't harming anyone or anything?

What's that city dweller? Can't breathe?

Not our problem.

I'm confused. Are you trying to suggest that science is a democracy?

only when it suited to the deniers point of view. See when the majority of scientists have reached a consensus that doesn't matter - they are wrong.

When a majority of ill-informed people believe that it's not an issue then they are right.

Suprised they have trotted out the line about how some of the Antarctic ice shelf reforming which is a bit of spin - yes it's reforming at the further sections where the ice is thicked, the weather coldest and where there has been recent snow according to an Antartic researcher yesterday. The point of concern is the artic & antartic coasts were where getting melting and ice shelves collapsing and breaking away.

I believe in Climate Change and that we should continue to clean up the gasses we pump into the atmosphere. Which we are doing.

However, I'm damn tired of the groups of "experts" who keep squealing and shrieking about..

"The Earth is turning into Mars"

Honestly the biggest problem with "Global Warming" is the name. It's an extreme oversimplification of a name, which falls short of really describing what has scientists so concerned.

exactly - that's why I tend to stick with climate change - it confuses the simpled minded when you talk about warming that causes cooling.

And you're bringing the results of a poll in here to discuss a scientific topic, Johnny?

If all you're looking to do is rile up the political end of things with the incendiary rhetoric, keep it in TNZ, please.

If you're looking for actual scientific discussion, then this is your place.

Now, are you looking for scientific discussion, or do I move this to TNZ?

You should probably go ahead and more it to TNZ.

TPTB are going with "climate change" more and more.

Great...polls also show that most Americans don't believe in evolution.

Guess we'll have to re-write the textbooks!

(Just hope the heliocentric model of the solar system or the flat Earth theories don't make a comeback...that would really be bad for NASA, the GPS network, and ship-navigation in general...)

Because I have to work sometime, bryce. :)

And I live in hope, Neopeius.

I was reminded of my general policy of not moving things to TNZ since it's an opt-in forum and I don't like the idea of forcing people to opt into TNZ if they want to follow a thread and aren't already on the list.

Therefore, Johnny, I'm closing this. If you can manage to check the political invective at the door and give us an actual topic to discuss, you're welcome to try again. This time, however, not going to work.
