Stephen Hawking hospitalized

Admiral
Stephen Hawking, scientist and author, has been hospitalized. A university spokesperson said "he is very ill". Story

He's lived with ALS for over 45 years, when most people with it live less than 10 years after diagnosis.

Get well soon, Professor.

Why is it that you're surprised by this? And then, hoping he gets better despite your own admission to the fact a lot of ALS patients DON'T live longer than 10 years after diagnosis?

When he does die, right after he checks in at the Gates Of Heaven he's going to run straight over to the Astrophysics Control Room and see if his math was correct. :D

That said, I hope he doesn't suffer too much/too long.

Oh, no. I really hope he recovers. I want him to outlive all of us. :(

Get Well, Professor Hawking. You're not done yet.

He better pull through -- he still has to build a working warp engine for us! ;)

Best wishes, Professor Hawking. :techman:

A great mind...we still need you Prof. Hawking!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery :techman:

not suprised but it isnt the first time he has had complications.

but really the man himself isnt ready to go.
he already has his plans for the summer.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. There's still so much stuff out there for him to discover and make us understand.
