And yeah, except that the mods put a stop to this crap in Misc. If you really want that, you should migrate to a political board. Because I don't think one dedicated to phasers and starships is exactly the right venue for it.

I was talking about the idea in general not the current rules since Obama was sworn in. This is a discussion board and if there are subjects you don't want to participate in then by all means skip them.

I think we should all just meditate on the fact that Spongebob Squarepants gets higher ratings than any of the news shows on any of the cable news channels.

Many of those watching Fox are doing so to watch the freakshow meltdown that seems to fill most of their programming since the election.

I personally enjoyed watch CNN and MSNBC freaking out over Bush in a hysterical fashion night in night out.

What alternate reality was that in. CNN barely dared to be critical of Bush at all until Katrina.

I find biased people who can't acknowledge that to lack any objectivity.
Case in point with Davros and those like him who honestly think these other networks are unbiased when stats and surveys have shown those anchors to out right admit to their bias the last few years.

I have never claimed CNN was not biased. Their conservative bias is hard to ignore. They just do not go so far as being the propaganda arm of the GOP like Fox has.

Fox at least admits it reports with a conservative slant. It commentators(not be confused with news which the left so often has trouble separating) also admit their slant.

They do no such thing. They claim to be "fair and balanced".

You don't get that out of the Socialist backed channels AT ALL.

We're not uncomfortable, we're trying to explain to you people why Fox is #1. You're refusing our explanation thinking that "If Fox is #1 that means the nation leans to the right" or something while ignoring the results of the previous two elections.

Well if your going to pick a demarcation line(Katrina) then you are admitting post-Katrina that they did freak out hysterically night-in-night out from that point. Not that some criticism wasn't fair but the constant hammering on anything and everything Bush did from that point was negative which itself was then unfair.

Well then good for you, so many claim to not see the bias that its easy to not know every posters thought on that. However, CNN and the others were so in the tank for Obama during his campaign that they were indeed acting like a propoganda arm now perhaps not so much but the pro-Dem bias is still there.

I should have said their commentators admit the slant. The news is a separate thing. Just cause the language used in a news piece didn't bash Bush or paint a negative opinion of something he did doesn't mean its not fair and balanced. Report what happened, then let the commetators do their thing. This is where I think the confusion happens for way to many people.

So the US now controls banks and the car industry. The US Government has the controlling ownership in this industries and is adminstering how they run. Telling banks what percentage rates to set and to whom they can lend. Telling CEO's what compensation is acceptable. Obama also wants the latitude to dictate to companies the government has yet to take over. Scary. You tell me how that isn't socialism, heck socialism-lite.

Obama wants to "spread the wealth around" as he stated in the closing days of the campaign. He wants to decide what "acceptable pay" is and then hand it off to those not producing(ie working).

They also made up the story that Obama went to a Muslim school, when they were called out on making up the news they then came out and said that the Clintons gave them the info!
