A hypothetical "Close Encounters of The Third Kind" sequel

The "2001" Spielberg talk got me thinking about "Close Encounters"

I think exploring Dreyfuss's character returning to make amends with his son could be good.

Spielberg seems to love adding a "Father/Son"(Or in the case of "Lost World" Father/Daughter" element to some of his movies

The last few scenes with Roy Neary's son have him crying and hiding in the shadows while his dad and mom argue. Then when Roy throws junk through the window Roy's son has a look of despise for his dad now.

Richard Dreyfuss, Emilio Estevez, Rosie O'Donnell

Get out of my fuckin' head! I was just thinking the same thing this morning about CE3K sequel along the same lines... Then again the storyline for a sequel is so obvious I guess anybody could have thought it up. Still... :)
