I think those two weapons were the most powerful weapons in the game..Im just glad most folks like being the borg, which was bad enough...but yeat, I hated those things. And the fricking AI would use them, which sucked even more!!!

You know if you can capture it you can use it against your enemies.

I didn't know that...with out having to build all the shipyards/sci stations and all that??

Yeah you can use any ship that you capture but to capture it you need to fire on it until its shields are down then transport crew over to it until its crew number goes down thenhits zero and starts to come up only now with your team color after that yous should take it to one of your ship yards to repair and recrew the ship the presto you have your own prize ship to use against the enemy.

I used to play Armada, but then became enamored with Armada II. I always played with either the Federation or the Borg, depending on whether my wife would play with Species 8472. I would never dare play with the Borg when she was 8472. Stupid little bio ships took down my super-cubes way too easily.

So did any players using a Corbomite Device, but I was usually fast enough to wipe out their science before they could implement this nasty little shield.

yeah the Corbomite Device is nice it deflects torpedos and special weapons, so that helps.

I was just a bad player. I would just build zillions of torpedo turrets, after I got my two mining things up and running, and save up and just surround my area with those turrets...I'd let the other players fight and do all that crazy stuff...usually hours would pass by and whoever was left, and I, would agree to a truce and I'd either claim second place or first place....

Yeah...I was a chicken shit!
