The only ones I routinely eat at are Subway and Taco Bell. But depending on my mood there are things I like at pretty much any of them. I'd eat at Chic-fil-a more but it's kind of expensive.

I ate at a five guys once in another city and it was really good if not very unhealthy. Probably for the best they don't have one within 50 miles of here.

Chick-fil-A and Quiznos. I love Chick-fil-A but I hate the fact that it's always closed on Sundays. Quiznos for me is much better than Subway. Actually I prefer Firehouse Subs over both of them.

I love McDonalds' chicken McNuggets. When they ask what sauce I want with them and I tell them to give me regular mustard packets it makes me feel like Carl from "Sling Blade"..."Mustard on 'ems good to me!"

You guys must all have good subways around you. Where I live there are 3 and they are all plagued with stale bread, constantly being out of half of the menu, doing things like giving you 3 black olives when you ask for them, etc..

Where's KFC? :(

I have it once a week, but I don't know why. I love how it tastes, but I always manage to feel guilty and sick afterwards.

First of all, I love how White Castle was left off :guffaw:

I think they are a piece of crap. A coworker at an old job once bought some food from there for lunch one day. I tried the fries. It was GROSS!

The grossest thing I have ever eaten in my life was a White Castle "burger" that had been left out for a few hours and was therefore cold. Euch, it still gives me shudders to think of it.

Though the "fresh" ones weren't much better.

Fast food is so-called for the speed of its transit through my bowel. :bolian: Gimme a decent deli sandwich any day.

That said, I did have a fondness for KFC in my youth...

Do any of you guys have a fast food joint similar to Praties here in Tasmania. Praties serves stuffed potatoes.

EDITED TO ADD:

Description of Praties

Praty is a potato in Ireland and that is all you will get here. There are now branches of this popular food outlet throughout Tasmania. It is fast food, so the decor is cheap and cheerful with lots of Irish green. All branches have tables where you can sit and enjoy the meal.

A huge Tasmanian jacket baked potato with your choice of hot or cold fillings gives a tasty and cheap meal (AUD5.90). You can even have two fillings--one on each half of the potato.

SOURCE

I know we have at least 4 Praties in Hobart, and there are others thoughout the state. I don't know if they have them on the Mainland.

It's like eating at Krispy Kreme.... *shudder*

:cardie: I love Krispy Kreme. Go out of my way to go to their meagre 4 or 5 outlets in the UK whenever travelling through London.
But then you have to bear in mind proper American donuts are a rare thing in the UK. So we make do with what we can.

I went with Subway, but I'd have gone Popeye's all the way if it had been an option... The chicken is fantastic, the mashed potatoes and gravy and the red beans and rice are amazing, and the biscuits might as well be crack!

Carl's Jr.'s Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger. The greatest anything ever!

Other than that everything has there own unique taste and it all depends what particular craving strikes me. Sometimes I like the Double Quarter Pounder, Sometimes the Double Whopper, sometimes the Double Double, sometimes the Ultimate Cheeseburger, sometimes...you know this might help explain why I am such a fat ass.

I'm in Oregon right now, the southernmost town and just a couple hours from Redding where the north-most IN-N-OUT is.

If you're in the bay area, they aren't all that hard to find. Go north from SF and there are two along the freeway before you hit Santa Rosa (and one there), go south and there are half a dozen by the time you hit San Jose. In the east bay there are at least 3-4, mostly right off the freeway. You also have Mel's, which is a wonderful alternative.
