Possible covers and info for upcoming books (spoilers obviously)

You need to go to the booksellers/teachers/media section, then pick booksellers and seasonal catalogues. The new one is the Fall '09 one. For those who are interested it also has entries for David Mack's first (only?) post-finale The 4400 book, and an upcoming CSI book. Of course it also has all of their non-tie ins too.

Edited to added: I just checked and it's actually two CSI books, one by two time Trek author Jeff Mariotte.

^ FYI, the title of my The 4400 novel is wrong in the catalog. They listed the original working title; the actual title is Promises Broken. Also, the blurb really doesn't do the story justice. And as far as I know, unless this book sells in mega-numbers, it will be the last book in that series, so I wrote it to be the epic grand finale of The 4400 saga.

I was hoping that was Vale, but clearly it's Minuet. I agree that this AI planet, if that's what the story is really about, probably searched Riker's mind to get her image. It's the most plausible way she could suddenly reappear.
Which one has to assume would cause some naligrance in his relationship with Troi.

To Naligrate: to cause naligration upon another person.

(so yes, it's my own made up word. Similar to "flamp" and "flurbalize.")

But surely the meaning is clear from context? After all, did not the mome-raths outgrabe? ;)

This thread is really starting to naligrate the otherwise cromulent day that had been embiggening my happiness.

The Language Police will be by to beat you shortly.

When I read the description for Synthesis, my first thought was that the AI planet gives Titan some level of artificial sentience, which sounds really cool. I love what the authors have been doing to push the Trek technology forward.

As to the cover, I'm not too thrilled. I know it's likely an early concept version, but it feels too much like a watered-down version of the cover for Taking Wing. Hopefully the higher-resolution and possible changes (and color!) will make it better. So far, the Titan covers have been among my favorite designs yet.

Ah, that could be interesting.

I am at the moment reading Strange New Worlds I and considering what happens in Cabbages and Kings it could really turn things on its head.

I hold no hopes that it will be acknowledged in any way, but it would make me all giddy.

That was my first thought when I read that too.

Excalibur has Morgan Primus. Not sure I want another ship with some artificial consciousness running around.

I was thinking along the lines of the AI they meet prefers talking to other AI's so Titan whips up the Min hologram.
