The Countdown Continues...

One Month To Go...

0004 Weeks...
0000 Days...
0000 Hours...
0000 Minutes.

or

0028 Days...
0000 Hours...
0000 Minutes.

or

0672 Hours...
0000 Minutes.

...are ya excited yet?

it won't really hit me till i walk down the toy section of wal mart and see all the new Trek stuff.

May 8th and 9th, 2009 will be two days where the forums of this BBS will be close to supercritical. On the verge of going up in the biggest blast since the Tsar Bomba test in 1961. I'm still debating if I want to be in here during that 24-hour period...and if so, should I wear a lead-lined Hazmat suit?

I'd forgo the Hazmat suit since all it will do is cause you to die slower from the super radiation released instead of being instantly vaporized also for the next 6 months after May 8th be on the look out for the mutated zombie survivors who will either eat you alive or light you on fire based on if its canon or not.

All I ask is that I be buried in my favorite T-shirt and my "Home of the Whopper" boxers.

The radiation burns on my flesh be damned.

Will do.

I shall die as I lived.

In style. And with grease on my face and stains all over my lap.

I have to admit that I'm a long-time Classic Trek fan, and part of me didn't want to see the torch passed on to other actors. But, since I've been viewing New Voyages/Phase II I've gotten used to the idea that someone else can play Kirk and Spock. I'm ready to give the movie a chance and show up at a theater in time for the 12:01 Friday morning.

Here's hoping it'll be worth the wait

THREE MORE DAYS!

I waited three years (2006-2009) for this movie! Finally on Friday I will be watching Star Trek! I can't contain my excitement! From the first trickles of news to the casting of Quinto, Pine and others to the delay in release, I've been with this movie every waking moment during it's production. Well as close as I can be with various websites. But now we are finally getting it! HURRAY! :D Who else is excited?!

Re: THREE MORE DAYS!

48 hours and 50 minutes I'll be sitting in the theater to make sure I get a good seat for the 7:00 showing on Thursday.

Re: THREE MORE DAYS!

Only 18 hours until I finally see it, but I can't wait damnit! :scream:

Re: THREE MORE DAYS!

I'm more anxious to see this film than the last four TNG movies (SANS First Contact) combined.
