Miley Cyrus is hot, there I said it

Its only illegal to have sex with someone under 18, it aint illegal to say they are hot.

Actually, again, the AoC in most of the US is 16.

Though that doesn't mean it's legal for any adult. In Ohio, for instance, the age of consent for a minor is 16, but only if the adult he or she is having sex with is of an age within 4 years of that minor's. So a 16-year old can have sex with a 20-year-old but not a 21-or-more-year-old, and a 17-year-old with a 21-year-old not a 22-or-more-year-old.

Near as I know Kansas has no such concessions of this manner. 16 is legal period. The only concession they have when it comes to AoC is allowing an 18 year old to not get as stiff penalities if they were to sleep with a 15 year old. The "Romeo and Juliet Law."

Technicalities aside, I think we can all agree that we should not have sex with anyone under 18. But that doesn't mean I can't call a 16 year old hot.

Does Hawaii have the youngest AOC rule. In that state it's 14, but there is a 5 year limit for that.

She's cute. If I was a boy around her age, I would have a crush on her...sure. I don't know what some of you are talking about...buck teeth? I don't see it.

Anyway, when she becomes an adult I think she will be "hot". I just hope (and she's showing signs of it early) she doesn't become a "diva" and get too full of herself.

The transition from child star to an adult one is fraught with pitfalls. It'll be interesting to see if she can make the transition and remain "relevant"...and if she can avoid the "Britney factor".

I don't believe so - unless the law has changed there, and I don't think it has, that honor, along with the distinction of most-f***ed-up AOC rule, goes to Kentucky.

In Kentucky, the AOC for males is always 18. For females, it is 18....UNLESS, the girl consenting is A. over 12, and B. not a virgin.

I really don't want to even think about why that law is that way, or how something like that gets through a state legislative body. :wtf:

So wait.....a girl can't legally have sex at age 12, but if she did (which would be illegal), then, the second time she had sex, she'd be legally OK to give consent????

That is my understanding, yes. Admittedly, the last time I looked at AOC laws was about 10 years ago, so maybe (hopefully) Kentucky has done something about that since then.

Edit: I did a little research, and apparently they did revise a bunch of their AOC and sexuality laws to something that looks more in line with other states, in 2004.

Not really, and why do you assume everyone lives in the US?
It totally depends on the person/s involved, and I'd kinda agree with Chef in that South Park ep "at seventeen, you ready" (certainly not that you should though if you feel you're not ready, but there shouldn't be some law saying I can't have sex with my fellow 17 yr old girlfriend when I'm 17 as well, as was I when it happened to me)

Well, agreed. There's a stark difference between saying a 16 year old is hot and sleeping with one. (Unless you're 16 or 17 yourself.)

She is overrated and only famous because of nepotism. If her daddy was "Billy Ray the Walmart stockboy" she would be a nobody.

You could say the same thing about Michael Jackson, what's your point?

A lot of people are successful because of opportunities given to them because of who their relative and friends are. Half the people I know are in jobs because of who they know.

I know, I know,...some people are of the mind that only starving artists who play in smoke filled bars for five years "deserve" to be stars, but welcome to reality I guess?

This is interesting - http://www.reference.com/search?q=Ephebophilia

Ephebophilia is not listed as a paraphilia in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fourth Edition (DSM-IV), unlike pedophilia, which is categorized as a disorder in the manual.

Attraction to adolescents is not generally regarded by psychologists as pathological except when it interferes with other relationships, becomes an obsession which adversely affects other areas of life, or causes distress to the subject.

Sexual desire that includes adolescents, as well as older individuals, is common among adults of all sexual orientations; this is not labeled "ephebophilia" because the attraction to adolescents is not exclusive. In some cultures, such as those in which adolescent girls are routinely married to older men, it is considered normal for adults to include adolescents among their sexual interests. In these cultures an attraction to adolescents is not necessarily thought to require an essentialist classification in terms of abnormality, deviancy or mental health, but is seen as a possibility or a taste.

I used to hate her since she kinda has the same grin that my ex had. Now I've kinda let that go and started to admit that yeah, maybe she's kinda cute.
