McCoy: "For all the death and destruction it caused, the Cloverfield monster MUST be put on trial! Justice needs to be served!"
Or go the other way and turn the entire island of Manhattan into a maximum security prison. OR The People grow tired of "two separate yet equally important groups." In spite of spirited protests by Jack McCoy & Lt. VanBuren, they watch in horror as New York City is transformed into Megacity1 and its chief law enforcer becomes... Judge Dredd!
Raw doesn't have seasons. It runs 52 weeks a year with only the occasional break for Christmas. They broadcast their 828th episode on Monday. As for Christopher's comment - there is no pretense that WWE Raw is anything other than scripted entertainment. The only episodes I can think of that weren't scripted were the Owen Hart, Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit (yes, I know) tribute episodes as the performers just threw together shows as best they could and most of the time was spent on them paying tribute to their lost friends. In fact, it wasn't even Gunsmoke's record - another wrestling show, Georgia Championship Wrestling, ran for even longer than Gunsmoke, but Raw has broken that record too.
That still works out to only about 15 years. Remember, I'm not talking about the number of episodes or anything like that. I'm only referring to *how long it's been on the air*.
Fair enough, typically when I've heard people talk about Gunsmoke it's been the number of episodes they were talking about.
No special ending. Just another case, and life goes on. But it would be nice if they went out winning the case. --Ted
I agree, I think that it should end with them getting a call about another murder and go back to work as the black screen fades over. At least it will keep going on in some form though, Criminal Intent has been awesome (and more interesting, I think) and is coming back with new episodes on the 19th so I'll still be getting my L/O fix.
