Another Subaru question...

What's the typical mileage life for an '02 Outback? I'm looking at a really nice, fully loaded Outback VDC, but it's got 275000 kms on it. It's a great price, my mechanic said it's in good condition, and I have maintenence records showing it's been kept well. Still seems like a lot of clicks to me, though. Or am I just used to shitty GMs?

That's 172,000 miles on it. Even if its a great car, it doesn't have much left in the tank, unless you want to spend thousands overhauling major systems after a short time.

That car is just broken-in, according to many Subaru and former Subaru owners.

Seriously.

If I didn't already have an Accord and a 4Runner, I'd get me one them.

In a word... yes.

GM owners typically expect their vehicles to begin to fall apart after 4 years or 75K miles (what is that... around 113K km?)... I know I used to be fiercely loyal to the brand.
