Who was Schwarzenegger's best character?

ARGGHHH! YOU bet me to it! 'I' was going to say DUTCH! I thought he played that charactor brilliantly!

Dutch and the Terminator are both iconic characters of cinematic sf, but I'd say Quaid/Hauser from Total Recall was probably one of his more interesting characters.

Oh, and I loved his portrayal of Harry Tasker in True Lies -- very entertaining movie, and Schwarzenegger's performance was a lot of fun.

The T-800, particularly in the original The Terminator. Pure, perfect, coldblooded killing machine without a trace of humanity. Unfortunately, every other entry in the series gave the robots some human embellishments. Schwarzenegger did the very difficult thing of making the role all machine, playing a nightmarish force of nature.

John Kimble is my favorite of his roles, though I have to agree with how TBC characterized his portrayal of the T-800 in the first Terminator film.

I thought he did a good job in Last Action Hero, too. Though I think that whole movie is kind of underrated.

Maybe after he's out of office, Arnold can have his own "Expendables" movie, only with just him and all his roles. John Matrix, Harry Tasker and Dutch fight The Terminator! While undercover as kindergarten teachers!

Dutch Schaeffer in Predator and certainly Mark Kaminsky in Raw Deal. He really tried to act in this one. I wish someday Ahnult has his Copland. Once.

I thought he did well in True Lies along side Jamie Lee Curtis and as Dr. Freeze in Batman and Robin.
