I like some of the elements of both. Picard would be a retired ambassador and NOT have Irumodic Syndrome. Maybe even be married to Beverly, who'd be in charge of Starfleet Medical. Data would still be alive, have a nice career in Starfleet making his way up to some Admiral position, and then decide to retire and become a professor. Troi would still be alive and married to Riker, who's a really high-up important Admiral dude. Worf would go on and be some big important ambassador dude for the Klingons. Geordi... dunno bout him. Guess his AGT future's fine enough that I wouldn't want to change anything.

And they all get together and hang out once in a while when they're not busy with other stuff. :) Oooh... I spy a plot bunny! That'd be an awesome fanfic to write... a reunion after they go their separate ways to do stuff!

Geordi & Data's lives seemed to pan out better, on the whole, in ...All Good Things, as did Crusher's

Well, IIRC originally yes, until the I.K.S. Negh'Var ended up popping up as the first of her class in 'Way of the Warrior,' I think it was assumed so. Technically, I suppose the Negh'Var class 'precedes' the Voodieh class now, or the latter is just a refit of the former.

^ You know, if I wanted to have a non-Trek friend experience, in microcosm, a perfect Trek thread, a quintessential Trek thread, this would have to be it. You guys sound like perfect geeks, and I am so proud to know you!

Besides, I like the Negh'var attack cruisers too, although I am not generally all that enamored of Klingon vessels. Too much testosterone sloshing around in and around them, if you ask me.

'takes a humble bow.'

Why humble, Damar? Are you a Cardassian or aren't you? ;)

Many Klingon ships do lack a certain sense of elegance. Of course, the bird of prey at least has been in use for over 100 years, and the D7/K'tinga in at least its basic configuration for 200 if you take a certain ep of ENT literally - so I'm reasonably sure that they're not that creative or that concerned with aesthetics.

The Federation, the Romulans, and the Cardassians on the other hand...

The funny thing is that I'm listening to a pretty good youtube tribute to the Klingons(they did have some cranking good theme music IMO)

The Klingons would not know aesthetics if you hit them over the head with a beautifully craved statue by Tavor Kell. So it's no surprise that their ship designs have remained stagnant for so long.

And humble, moi? The truth is that a certain amount of humility can be useful in...lulling people into a false sense of security:shifty:

(The new avatar is quite entertaining BTW!)

On the Negh'vars (or Voodiehs or whatever) I was always disappointed we never saw more of them in DS9. It was always (or at least seemed to be) Vor'chas and BoPs.

Say, that is good music. And I agree. Tavor Kell was a genius, anyway. ;)

Heh. :p

(And thanks.)

You know, for that matter, it's a shame they didn't put the Olympic class model to further use after scratch-building it for 'AGT.' Come to think of it, I don't know what happened to that model...
