Official U.S. NU-Trek Poster

Hmmm, not what i was expecting but theyre cool none the less.

I have all the teaser posters, well most, from a guy on Ebay. Original US one sheets and theyre massive and really really really good quality with release date.

I dont know if ill grab one of these, the black and white head shots were very simple and very effective and i really liked them, which is obvious i guess.;)

Still, havnt seen any crop up online yet.

Interesting though, wasnt expecting the TMP inspired poster with the Enterprise banking to the right. Still, i agree that non trek fans will see a grey blurr until its explained to them.

Ah, thanks! I was looking for a better version of that one. I really dig the retro design. I first saw it here ...

Maybe it's just me (and it probably is since I haven't seen anyone else comment on this), but the distorted images under the saucer of the Enterprise in the U.S. poster look like three elongated heads to me. It wouldn't surprise me if this poster is a big "easter egg" to fans with the appropriate Photoshop skills (and I ain't one of 'em, unfortunately).

Oh, and I think the poster looks pretty cool, just the way it is.

Once you mentioned it, I think that I saw what you meant: those pairs of stretched dots do look sort of like eyes, and the "swoop" at the far right looks sort of like a hairline:

But after rotating it and squishing it to 10% height, I don't think that they're actually faces, just "energy-bolt things":

While it wasn't a hidden treat for fans, it seems that we humans are hard-wired to recognize faces wherever even remotely possible, so thinking that it might be is quite understandable.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out, Wendell. And thanks for the link to the fascinating article as well.

It looks like an image that could've been in the dream sequence in TVH. Is it just me, or does the word "eclectic" pop into mind about the style choices in this movie?

As it is, my TMP poster with the rainbow colors and Kirk, Ilia, and Spock on it, which I have hanging in my home office, won't be coming down for this one. That oldie is still The-Best-Trek-Movie-Poster-Ever.

I looked at it.
Let it click over in my head about three times.
I decided I love it. Nicely done!

And I saw the image before I saw the words and recognized it instantly.

Yeah, theyre turning up on most local ebay sites now. Im bidding on two, but no guarantee ill win, im on a budget.

Theyre cheap at the moment, but same as the teasers that i got a few weeks back, they were buts its going to be the usual stroy, theyre cheap until the movies released and then, WHAM! Theyre $20 + a pop.

EDIT: Nice to see a fellow Dylan Moran fan, and all the way in Australia too. Fantastic.
