It is indeed the Jellyfish, and the Spock/Spock pic looks at a glance as if it might have been shot in the same place the shuttle shots here were:

For some reason, judging by some of the errors in the article, I wonder if that is not Spock and Spock, but infact Spock and Sarek, when Spock is at the academy. Im judging this by the uniform and the background as well...

The KAM test was my first guess too. McCoy seemed to know about Kirk's test result in TWOK, so I think it makes sense for him to be there if they're friends.

Those look like "field" uniforms that the cadets may wear when doing training exercises, field work, etc.

i think that the first image is spock and sarek.

makes more sense because of the uniform too. that's spock's academy uniform... it would be an anachronism were he wearing that when he met nimoy spock.

I hate to be so detail-oriented, but...I think you're right. The very -TOS-ish red alert light over Kirk's shoulder matches the detail on the bridge of the Kelvin - and supposedly that bridge set is reused for the "Kobyashi Maru" test sequence.
