Nice to see this ship a bit more upclose.![]()
That or at least a Vor'cha. The Negh'Var totally should have been the Klingon ship we got in GEN, instead of a crap-ass old BOP... oh, well. Nice to see the details of this beautiful ship.
^''cough'' st6 ''cough'' Ya I have always liked the ''menacing'' look of the Negh'var myself! And for 'Generations' since the model existed already, all that would have had been done were new VFX shots that with exception of the explosion () were all new anyway.
The studio people consistently felt the BOP was "sexier" than any of the TNG-era models. Not being especially interested in the age of the ship within the fiction, that was as far as the thinking went.

I would assume that that's still the main reason. The TNG ships didn't have anything approaching the level of detailing necessary to appear on the big screen screen, and the models were too small to detail them to that level anyway, IIRC.The studio people consistently felt the BOP was "sexier" than any of the TNG-era models. Really? That's really why? Good lord. I have given these people too much credit. I had assumed it was something to do with economics.
In that case, I'd have rather they re-used the K'tinga battlecruiser model.
At least that might have been a better match for the D at least conceptually, and they'd have had to do a new explosion effect for it, which at that point we hadn't seen. It might have also fit more logically with the notion that the Duras sisters could only get their hands on an old ship.

It's too bad they just re-used the ''BoP'' because it was, what? ''sexyer''?
WOW! There are some ''fetishes'' I just don't want to ''KNOW'' about!

Yeah, I wouldn't have minded an ole K'tinga battlewagon taking down the D, if it must happen.
The BoP may be sexier, but the battlecruiser has a longer... neck.![]()
