Outlook Deleting My Emails When I Forward Them

Are these work e-mails or your own personal ones? 
Does it still show up in the "Sent" folder?
How many emails do you have? If your PST is too large, you'll notice things like that. It won't store the messages because it doesn't have the space to cache the file and store it after the send option.
Is it only after you forward them? There is a setting that says keep a copy of forwarded emails or something like that. You might have that setting turned off.
And not just that. If you have a .pst file over 2GB you're dicing with death - the risk of corruption increase dramatically
Do you have any mail "rules"? Possibly a rule that deletes forwarded mail?

Tell me about it! I used to support outlook and I would tell people everyday, delete emails or you will lose your mail file. No one did it until they lost every email they have ever had at work. I felt bad for them, but all they had to do was delete old emails. Tough to feel sympathy for people that don't listen.
Also over a gig your outlook will start to get really really slow, and everyday I would hear, "Can I get a new computer? This one is really slow with emails" I tried to explain that they need to delete emails or it will get worse, but I have found if you offer an explanation instead of doing what they want, then people will generally tune you out. OH well, let them live with it, all they had to do was listen.....
Only think worse is when they store them in exchange server. Had a client running SBS 2003 and one employee insisted on keeping everything. Result was a hungous amount of data in the mail store - as in 6.5GB!! And then he gets shitty with me because he runs into problems with the sheer number of folders he had. He hit a limit that Microosft had in on folders in Exchange 2003. Could work around it with a registry edit but his mail folder - not good for performance.

Oh, I forgot to say that I deleted some e-mails from my Deleted Items folder yesterday, but I still have the same prob with the forwarded e-mails being deleted. I try my best to save all the e-mails I get, but I get WAY TOO MANY so I get behind. I know that is my fault, but is there any other reason why my e-mails delete from my inbox after forwarding them?
Yes, you have too many emails using an older email system Outlook 2K. If you have been at your company a long time and you try to save every email then your email file (pst) is too big. There is no space for your mail program to store the message after you forward it. It is either that or a check box setting. The check box for save forwarded messages is on so it isn't that. We use Notes at my work and it has been a while since I have used O2K, so I can't go through it exactly, but you can try deleting a bunch of stuff, then try to compact the database which is in one of the options screens.
Right click the Personal Folders folder in your inbox and hit properties. Then on the General Tab click advanced and you can compact the database their. Somewhere in those screens it will tell you the size of the pst. If it is around 1.9 gig or so (it lists it in KB so it looks confusing at first if I remember right), but after 1.8, or 1.9 gig + your mail file will be fried and you will be stuff out of luck.

I will check on that, but I do have a question. Yesterday is when I first started having this problem and I posted this message. I deleted a bunch of e-mails yesterday (per the advice of this board) and today I received less e-mails (and smaller in size) then the ones I deleted yesterday. I actually have less stuff in/on/under/over (
) my PST then I did on Wednesday. Then why didn't I have a problem with e-mails being deleted after I forwarded them on Wednesday like I do today?Just curious...
As for why it happened I am not sure. You might have deleted some but the database didn't readjust the database size until you close outlook and reopen it? Could be.
But 1.4 gig on a pst is bad, but hardly the end. You should still be able to save messages. Did you compact the database? Not sure if that would help your problem, but it would shrink the database even more.
Let me think about it more....
EDIT---You have alot of items in the deleted folders folder. Can you empty that, then compact the database? Too many deleted items could be the culprit. And if that doesn't work, check the settings on the Norton Spam filter. Sometimes if your mail clients suspects your account has been hijacked into becoming a spam zombie pc, then the Norton will disable the forwarding functions. Also do an Anti-Spyware check on the entire machine.
