I saw a commercial and it didn't really look to have much resemblance to Dragonball or DBZ. He's in high school? WTF? So is it going to suck enormous Dragonballs?

Wow! That was something. Extremely hilarious.
I saw this movie here. It wasn't great. Pretty poor and fox fucking blew their chances making this into something good when they hired James Wong. Fuck.....
Still if you are a fan of Dragonball the story has a lot of elements of the original and some fan pleasing character traits. Don't go watching it expecting LOTRs though. They actually cut some good stuff that we saw in the trailer like France getting blown up.

That was funnier when it was in the original Watchmen.

Not a DB fan but I've always imagined him as 10-12yr old.
Still, if the studio saw a big franchise in this they would've gone the Potter route and cast an age appropriate star. Aging him 5-7yrs doesn't seem much of a stretch imo.
I saw these as well. What I thought was interesting was they were next to the anime versions and the contrast was quite stark.
I'll only watch this on DVD, like Legend of Chun-Li, as it looks bad.
I'm pretty sure the first version of that was about X-Box Live, it just expanded to cover every single topic ever.

at first i thought it'd be awful trying to capture the fight anime fight sequences in live action, but now i feel like the live-action fight scenes will be like the matrix
