Well, I never got to see the originals (and photobucket isn't showing them in this thread) so I don't know if it's an improvement.
This design is pretty good. Definite TrekXI and Excelsior influences visible.
The ONLY thing I don't like is the two side nacelles appear to be directly behind the saucer from the angles shown. I've never liked hidden nacelles from the front.

well I'm not a big fan of tri-nacelle variants, because of the complication, and the third nacelle having to have 2 coils, or 4, o some other even number for balance) but I do love the number 3, but I'm also rather fond of 2 lol

but.... as for the nacells themselves, they don't look as bulky as some of the previews I've seen, I like it....

hmm. I kind of liked the 2 separate decks... but if you want it that way for the manual, no problem.

I think that's pretty sweet. My only nitpick would be the direction of the bevel at the edges of the saucer.

Do you mean that is is more like Excelsior, than Enterprise? That was intentional, to give it a definite feeling of being different. I didn't want to turn it into the Enterprise with 3 nacelles. I've done that before...

i didn't even notice the photon torpedo decks before. i like the stacked decks.
