My wife reads this forum...

Welcome to TrekBBS, WifeOfBrian. It's nice to have you here. :bolian:

Nice to meet you! I hope you realize that while your name is TheWifeofBrian, you will probably always be MrsPleco!
That's MsGrouper. She kept her maiden species. :D

I suspect they may have discovered the 48 hour day... that's what I figured it took to produce the next in line when I had my one to one with kids on a 24 hour basis... people who can keep reproducing under those conditions must have some cojones... probably under a training scheme similar to Hugo Rune's on top of that. :D

AAAANYWAY next time I log on we will actually discuss something Trek Related and not the mating habits of happily married fish, 'k? :p

We've talked Trek to death. Fish sex is more interesting!

...actually it is. Different species have totally different habits and methods and all that. I used to be really into aquaculture, don't have time for it anymore.

Funny thing is I put to plecos in a tank and they just sat there staring at each other for hours and hours. Figured I'd wake up the next morning and have at least one dead pleco... they tend to be very very territorial.

Turned out the light for the night woke up next morning, damn things had spawned overnight. It's nearly impossible to tell the gender of certain pleco species but apparently they can tell the difference no problem.:lol:

Or, they initiate humping with any pleco, and if it turns out to be the same gender, they try to kill one another.

Kinda like discovering your date is a tranny mugger. :cardie:
