She basically plays the role of girl power assertive feminist by putting the genders in very elementary boxes. Her music is full of boys who don't call and girls who get even and it's all empowerment for society's most retarded. Girls should read Jane Austen instead.
How can any guy be tantalized by Kissed A Girl? It's the musical equivilent to the two dipshit girls who dance together at the club for attention. The opposite of boner-inducing and just annoying. Fake lesbianism was much more sexy when t.A.t.U. did it.

Well, I thought I liked her music when I heard it on the radio. The two songs - the kissed a girl and the yes/no song are both very catchy with a great beat. And then a co-worker lent me her cd, and it's just not very good. I listened to those two songs specifically, and they are so sloooowwww, with no beat at all.
Turns out, it was the radio remix that adds the drums and other up-tempo beats that I like, and it has nothing to do with her music at all. Go figure.

Give me a break. A woman exercising her right to experiment and do as she pleases is insulting to feminists? How does kissing someone make you a whore? I have so many female friends who admit they have been attracted to woman and are curious it's not funny.
She has a pretty good voice. It's not the best I've heard but she is not a hack in the voice department.
I'm not defending her because I'm a fan, but I find it ridiculous that people can say they "fucking hate her" based on the limited and obviously corporately engineered persona that is presented to the public.
I really dislike her music and persona. She reminds me of a 13 year old girl who would talk about kissing other girls while giggling and saying, "OMG that's like so bad!" I read some quote of hers in a magazine several months ago about how she likes the song because it gets back at her parents, who are really religious and conservative. She just wants to seem naughty, and it's so blatantly fake and silly that it becomes very irritating. An insult to lesbians.
So it makes her and her music seem very immature and that is not at all attractive, which is why I don't like her very much.

I'll honestly admit the song is dumb, vapid and not doing the music industry or teenage girls any good at all.
But superficialy, I find the girl hot and her talking about tasting another girl's chapstick through a kiss kind of titilating, if in a teenage boy way.
