I haven't read The Forgotten, but after Lee's awful story "F.A.Q." in DWM, I'm not sure I want to.

Not really interested in the new series comics, but I am curious about the "Classic Doctor Who" ones. Anybody know if those are worth picking up?

I know the art certainly looks a lot stronger.

I've enjoyed Doctor Who Classics, but it's material I already own, either in the Panini graphic novels or in Marvel's early-80's Doctor Who series.

You've got Watchmen's Dave Gibbons on artwork for most of what IDW has reprinted thus far. The two Grant Morrison written issues were meh, but Morrison wasn't Morrison then; he was just starting out.

The coloring on these is really nice.

The Forgotten was pointless and unrewarding.

I did like The Whispering Gallery from last month by Leah Moore, and the art accompanying her words was fabtabulous.

Agreed. Without the "flashbacks," that story could have been done in maybe twenty pages.

I was really impressed with it. Templesmith's artwork was variable, the middle act was a little "off," but the beginning was chilling and I loved the final few pages. Martha's narration at the end really sells it.

I liked the first reprint collection that IDW put out, but was underwhelmed by the second. It didn't sound like Tom Baker's Doctor to me, and the plots were...blah.
