TNG Fans and Star Trek XI

As a TNG fan I'm hurt that we didn't get our epic film, but seeing the latest trailer Star Trek XI, I am more interested in going to see this film. Any other TNG fans that changed their minds about Star Trek XI and are now going to give it a shot?

Why would we have to change our minds about anything? I'm a Star Trek fan first and foremost.

No need to change my mind. I've been looking forward to XI for quite a while now.

I'm not sure I understand what you're hurt about. TNG had 4 films, 3 of which I'd call epic. 1 of which I would say was awesome. But even if you disagree why would you not see a different Trek movie? I guess if you're only a fan of the Next Gen that makes some sense...

As for me, I'm a Star Trek fan. A fan of each of the shows and the movies, and lots and lots of the books. I look forward to this new take on Classic Trek. :)

I am really looking forward to it even more so since the new trailer! However I have to admit it is a little sad to think we have probably seen TNG crew for the last time :( Its to bad it could not have ended on a better note.

Nemesis cost about $70 million. It was a fairly big production, and had a nice scale to it. I'm not really crying over what could have been.

When I first heard of this film, I had low expectations.

Now I'm eager to see it.

The only problem I see with this film, is that the iPod-ish 1701 bridge looks far more advanced than the 1701-D bridge...but I can't really complain about that.

I have to wonder what the JJ Abrams version of the Excelsior class would look like...
