Spoil Me A Little...

Nardpuncher

Rear Admiral
I haven't seen any of season 5 yet here in Taiwan, but when I was looking for the 4 toed statue scene from season 2 on youtube it first showed me a new scene from "La Fleur" with a statue. Could you tell me a bit about it without spoiling me too much? :techman:

There wasn't much to see. They saw the statue from behind. The reason why is too big of a spoiler.

Certain characters became "unstuck" in time and began randomly moving to different times in the Island's history or future. They moved briefly to a time when the statue was still intact but moved again before they could do anything about it.

Yeah, we didn't learn anything about the statue or the culture that built it really, it was just one scene.

Well that's OK...I'm just glad they haven't forgotten it! I'm trusting we'll have some sort of answer by the end( no sarcasm!). Thanks for your responses.

There is speculation that the statue is of
Taweret, the Egyptian goddess of childbirth.

Does that mean it was built by Dharma people or the Others? I always assumed it was ancient.

Not necessairly, it could still be very ancient. There's no knowing when they timeshifted too, but it's very likely the time period was some ancient time and that (future) destruction of the statue is why there's fertilit benifits/problems on the island.
