I have a feeling that a lot of people think I'm gay... Hell, I'm not even sure that my own parents are entirely convinced I'm straight!
So, what are the gayest things I've done? Let's see... the first one that comes to mind is musical theatre. Some of the cast and crew of shows I've done have automatically assumed I was gay, just for being there (an assumption not entirely unwarranted -- there are
a lot of gay men in musical theatre). I probably didn't help change that perception by accompanying some of my co-stars out to the local gay bar after performances -- and it definitely didn't help when the guy running the karaoke grabbed my butt and tried to dance with me (oh yeah, I also love karaoke... is that gay?).
What else... oh, I love
Sex and the City. I think it was a great show. I remember mentioning this once to a bi female friend of mine -- she responded by asking me, "Are you
sure you're straight?". Reasonably sure, yes.
I go tanning on occasion. I pluck between my eyebrows. I keep my apartment fairly neat and tidy, and I have specific places for all my belongings (I have a strong desire for order in my personal life... I guess that's not necessarily "gay", but I've found it's not too common amongst my fellow straight twentysomething male bachelors).
I get along well with women -- platonically, for the most part.

In fact, I find I usually have better friendships with women than I do with men, probably because I seem to have more in common with them. For example: I know this is cliche, but most men like sports. I know most of the men in my family like watching or playing them, and most of the boys I knew growing up enjoyed doing so as well. Myself, I've never been interested in watching sports -- in fact, doing so bores me to tears. And
playing sports? Ughhhh.... definitely not my thing. I was never very good at any of them. So in my younger years, I hung out mostly with my small circle of fellow nerdy non-athletes... and from high school on, I generally started hanging out with more women than men. I've never really had a serious "more-than-friends" relationship with a woman, though, which probably fuels speculation that I'm gay. Seriously, taking all the above into account... well, as my gay sister put it once, "How did you
not turn out to be the gay one?".
I'm also a strong advocate for gay rights, but that has nothing to do with my orientation. I consider myself a strong supporter of equality in general, so if I see prejudice in any form (such as homophobia), you can be sure I'll speak out against it.
Most hetero thing I do? Oh, geez... that's a tougher one.

Watch a lot of straight porn, I suppose (or girl on girl stuff... or MFF threesome porn... yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm straight, all evidence to the contrary

).
